...and it sounds like he could: Who would you prefer partnering him? McLean or Simpson?

    (I'm assuming we line up 4 - 4 - 2)

I'd start McLean if that was the case... both McLean and Simpson have been playing well but McLean seems to get on with Proschwitz having seen him use him as a human climbing frame after each goal. It might make for a better partnerhsip though I'd bring Simpson off the bench if we need another dynamic in the second half. This gives him a bit of a break from a tough but important game! Tuesday night is going to affect the table pretty dramatically but all of our available strikers seem to be chipping in. Good times.

I'd go for a team of

    Amos

    Rosenior
    Chester
    Faye
    Dawson

    Elmo
    Olofinjana
    McKenna
    Quinn

    Aluko
    Proschwitz

If we where at home i'd of been tempted to stick Aluko wide and play Simpson upfront with Prozzy.

I wouldn't usually say Mclean, but i'm saying....Mclean. Drop Homer to the bench, not because i don't rate him,i do but he wasn't at his best on satdee, and the rest may help him.Keep him on his toes aswell.

By the way,did anyone see that lovely curler he did from the corner of the box against Ipswich ? My seats in the perfect position to see that was going right in the top corner, but for a great fingertip save.

Can we go top? I've not seen who else is playing who... Obviously it's unlikely regardless, but we could also drop to about 10/11th realistically as well.

I predict that if we win we'll stay 6th, if we draw we'll go 8th and if we lose we'll drop to 10th.

Though that's based on my prediction of all results and you've all seen how **** I'm doing on the prediction thread. <laugh>

To go top we'd need to win by more than 6 goals, while the clubs above us all lose.

I think it's possible that Simmo will start, with McLean as the impact sub. Maybe SB has seen Simmo and NP working well together, but it seems pretty definite that Nick P will start, whoever is his (starting) partner.

What about Aluko? You know, our first choice striker?

IFFFF!!!! Prozzy has to start after that, and after watching Mclean and him together looks like the could have the makings of a lively partnership.

Simpson looked off the pace, pick your form strikers.

As much as i like Aluko he cant finish when he has time, great at long range snapshots, but anything 6-8 yards out with time to think and he seems to blaze them instead of slotting them in. Rather have him in the koren role Driving us on from midfield and linking up with Prozswitch and playing off him.

Simpson, I wouldnt sit our top scoring striker at this point. You can always sub him for McLean if it doesnt look like it is going well.

I thought Simpson was our first choice, who said it was Aluko ? Sone can play anywhere in an attacking position. A free role might be an idea.

Well we could go too winning by 5 and Leicester losing by 1 (in addition to the others losing) on goals scored. :p

Don't think Proschwitz really suits our style of play, lacks mobility. I'd play him at sword point in a 4-3-3 with Simpson and Aluko either side with Oli McKenna and Quinn behind, that way it won't hinder our fluid forward movement. When korens back put him straight in for big Seyi or McKenna and well have width in midfield too.

I know this won't happen but I believe this would be the best way to utilise him and play to his strengths.

An old man could take his dog for a walk through that midfield. If alukos playing in a 4-3-3 it has to be up top he'd be wasted in a strict midfield role where he'd have to stay in position to keep shape. Elmo too, I'd stick him at right back.

A must win match in October? No pressure on the lads then.
