Therefore, something to validate the bet must happen in the future. If you say the events that apply to the bet are in the past, then the whole bet is invalid. You aren't the only one who can be a smart arse mate, so what is it? Does the bet stand as I and everyone else here knows it was intended, or are we going down the childish, pedantic route?
