That would be the ideal situation of course! I think he played LB in the cup this season?

I agree Fonte and Yoshida need to play together in the middle, I think Hooiveld looks a liability at the moment and he also seems to unsettle the others. Fonte has looked generally looked better with Yoshida next to him. Normally I'd say give Stephens a go but, given we're playing Spurs, I think it would have to be Clyne and Seaborne. I wouldn't want Stephens making his debut up against Bale. I'd stick with Boruc in goal as well.

Is Seaborne less than a risk than Stephens? Haven't seen him play since he came back but surely if NA really rated him he'd have played already!

It is a difficult one. Assuming our injured stay injured you would have either Stephens vs Bale or Seaborne vs Lennon. Both options look scary! But yeah I think I would agree that I'd rather protect Stephens from a baptism of fire. I don't mind who the chosen GK is....but we could do with some consistency and Nigel needs to pick a GK and stick with him.

To me thats been a big part of the problem. No settled bacjk 4. No-ones fault but it stops any sort of understanding and consistency. Let's just hope some are back soon!

No very recent news but I believe he is expected back around the start of November. I'd expect him to maybe get a run-out against Leeds along with Tadanari and if we're being really hopeful, Gaston.

Pretty much, but I did see somewhere (I honestly can't remember where, so sorry to come off as an ITK-wannabe muppet), that he was doing pretty well on the road to recovery and that he should be able to start being introduced back into the squad and back to fitness soon. I can't swear by that though.

Jrod has more pace and can help defensively.OK it didn't work after 45 mins. Lesson learnt, line drawn bring on the Spurs!

Lamballana there is no point trying to point alternative thought processes out, he just wants to bleat. I wouldn't have dropped Lambert for this fixture and I think that Nigel over thought things, but hey, I'm a country bumpkin and he's a football manager. He had his reasons and we lost. Bring on Spurs.

I could go on that if this was not the 2nd time it has happened , but then again I dont believe Adkins actually 100% picked that side , I think pressure is coming from above to get points , points even if it means we changed the way the team was designed to play .
