Having just watched the Football League Show verdict on Friday night's nonsense, Leeds appear to be linked in their minds to Terry, Serbia and the black players "Kick it Out" protests at the weekend. This incident was in NO WAY linked to racism, just an a**hole being an a**hole, and I hope he gets put away for years. This was NOT a racist incident, let no one be confused.
Totally agree, and Dave Jones' laughable attempts to conflate it, designing it as a 'form of racism', were entirely laughable.
Dave Jones is a prick, I know emotions were running high but that was a total joke of an interview !! labelling all Leeds fans in the same bracket was just not professional at all and anyone who jumped on the vile animal band wagon needs to take a long hard look at themselves first, the incident is being blown out of all proportion and Dave Jones needs to get over himself, racist my arse !!!
I was angry and embarrassed when the attack on Kirkland happened, yes. I was enraged and sickened when Dave Jones opened his mouth in the post match interview. No one can say "emotions running high" is an excuse for that tirade against our fans, and I sincerely hope the FA follow up with some sort of punishment.
I agree. It was a complete lack of professionalism from Jones. If he was that emotional, he shouldn't have gone near the microphone. I've read his weak 'apology' and was truly unimpressed. It goes absolutely nowhere towards undoing the harm he's done. If someone bumps into you accidentally & says sorry, you accept the apology. If someone shoots you in the face, an apology is not enough. Legal redress is required. And in this case, Jones shot a lot of us in the face! Get him banned for a substantial period, FA!! Sue him, LUFC!
The headlines might aswell have read ""I'm sorry but I'm still right", says Jones", would barely call it an apology.
