Would anyone else like to see these 3 as our striking options next season?

    Falcao
    Dzeko
    Lukaku

Would be a great potent force up front and wouldn't cost way too much.

Reckon we could get Dzeko for Sturridge + 5/10m

    And Falcao for £25/30 m + Torres

Would be good business for all parties imo, Man City would take Sturridge back as Mancini is a big admirer and we could get rid of a big ego player who is selfish and get a good player in Dzeko in return.

Athletico would take Torres back imo as he is still their hero and would once again be best for all parties as Torres can go back to where he belongs and bang them in for Athletico and we get a more clinical striker which we need and Falcao is the best finisher in the world at the moment.

And we'd still have Lukaku who is doing great for West Brom and will only improve.

All 3 strikers offer us something different imo, If we need goals and just want someone to rip teams apart with clinical finishing we will have Falcao, if we want a striker who is good in the air and good at holding up the ball plus scoring goals then we would have Dzeko and we still have that young quality striker in Lukaku who also offers something different in terms of flair and link up play etc

You could get Falcao for way less than that, all spanish teams are poor except for Madrid/Barca. 30mil+ torres would be a bad deal for us imo

Yeh but i can see City trying to sneak in with a £40m bid as well that's why i hope we just quickly tie it up and not **** about, don't want to miss out on him and let city get him like we did with Aguero and Silva

I agree with the cash plus Torres offer, I think they'd want us to pay some of his wages though tbh. Lukaku needs to work on his finishing before returning but he looks like he's going to be a real player when he gets full confidence.

I dont know if City would even want him, I think they should be more concerned about looking for a partner for kompany at the back, that's their weakest area imo. They also have enough forward options as it is, they would have to offload someone before thinking of getting anyone else in

All valid points, but .......... until we get a world class controlling midfielder, all our strikers will be under employed.

With our creative worldclass midfield that is beginning to establish itself, I wonder if any of them will be able to avoid the problems of Torres!

Why would Dzeko leave being back up for City on huge wages to be backup again at Chelsea and why would Sturridge also? Lukaku seems to be doing well getting regular football, if the club's serious about your £18mill signing coming good then you probably shouldn't be spending another £40mill on upgrading your current strikers. Maybe guilty of playing a bit of fantasy football in your head there, we had a few suggesting that we should sign Damiao/Llorente and Ade in preseason too. It's just not very realistic.

As for Torres, my concern preseason for you guys was whether he could step up to the plate now as I didn't think the 3 behind him could be expected to bail you out everytime. As it is Torres is probably doing just enough and the 3 behind seem more than capable of stepping up and getting the goals when needed. I think it's good that the club can't do anything about it until at least January, it's still very early days and I think Torres deserves proper time. He's struggled since joining but despite being in and out of a team that's not set up to suit him he's persevered and worked hard in every game for you so I don't think you should be offloading him for the next highly rated striker. Patience with players was something Mourinho was good at. Drogba looked crap in his first year or so for you guys but Jose kept him working on his game until he became a top striker.

Yes you are 100% correct about his first year - I bitched about him being a lazy, disinterested *osser all the time. This is one of the many reasons why I am not a well paid club manager!

I think Torres should get a little more time, not too much as he has now been on-board nearly 2 years.

We'd be *loody frightening at the mo' with eg Falcao in front of our talented midfield triumvirate who are currently doing so well.

As you know though; in this game one minute you are sailing along nicely and then the whole house of cards can fall down in an instant. See how we go when we have a defeat or two to deal with!

    Next year?

    Lets see...

    Torres.

    Sturridge.

    Lukaku.

    There, that was easy.

Would rather get rid of Torres next season. Rather see Lukaku up there

I think Lukaka is gonna become one of the greats, reminds me of a young Drogba, Torres I still can't fathom out, one minute he's like a ferret the next like a sulky child. If Sturridge learns not to be so bloody selfish it might help his cause. Looks like he might be off soon though.

Mate of mine is a season ticket holder at the "Baggies". Knows his football and says Lukaku is good but still raw, he misses chances that he should score, but overall he is pleased to have him. Many of the West Brom crowd think he is fantastic, or at least will be in time. So next season maybe loan him out again then see if he lives up to his potential. I would not want him sitting on our bench getting disheartened, then asking for a transfer as I think he will be great in a couple of years.

I'm disappointed Chelsea fans have lost faith in Fernando. Get behind your player he imo played well against Spurs and we may not get 25+ goals this season from him because we this season have had 13 different goal scorers. Would you rather him score 25 plus a season or us win a league title and the fifa world club cup and fa cup and make the final 4 of the CL.

    Stick with Fernando fans...

He just needs to start burying the chances being gifted to him on a plate. He's absolute pony in front of goal and this was proved yesterday and every single other game he's missed sitters in this season. His movement and link up play are fantastic but face it, the guy's never going to be who he once was. And you say 'back him', load of tosh, we all backed him for a good season and a half and he's still making the same mistakes. We are Chelsea FC, not Fernando Torres FC.

Well then you, are a massive idiot.

He's **** Drogs only a blind man would think otherwise. He's selfish, lazy, arrogant, offers nothing to the team.

Barely passes, barely defends, barely back tracks, can't lead the line, don't hold the ball up well, is just as bad as Torres at one on ones, constantly shoots and wastes decent oppurtunities, his crap in the air and his dribbling is poor and his pace and ability to beat a man seems to have gone as well. The only thing he offers is he will shoot first time which isn't always a good thing and of course he scores some goals because all he does is bloody shoot !!

I actually would rather have Heskey, least he could hold the line and his link up play is good and he is good in the air.

Hope to god Liverpool buy him asap
