Well, it was just ****ing typical. A total repeat of the derby in 2010 when we were the better team for most of the match but they got a **** equalizer late on.

Tiote <doh> Wasn't really much malice in that, just Tiote sticking his ****ing legs out when he doesn't need to. His first red card in a PL game, and what a ****ing game to get it.

But we deserved the win because, despite being down to 10 men for most of the game, we were the better side for 70+ mins of that game, and Sunderland didn't really threaten us much. Just a few half chances.

We were unlucky, but I was bricking it towards the end when I thought they'd nick it. I'm happy with the point.

A promising performance though. If we want to play 4-4-2, we should play with Ba and Shola, not Cisse and Ba. We should play Cisse in a 4-3-3 formation only, where he has space to do his thing.

Colo was definitely the best player. Ben Arfa and Perch were excellent. Rose and Oshea were the only two good Sunderland players in a team that walked away relieved with a cheap point.

    Ratings -

Krul - 7 - Thought he played well. A few nervy moments, but some great claims and punches.

Simmo - 6 - Some people might disagree with this rating, and I agree he was dreadful at times, but he put in a good shift, tried hard and did some good defending. He played a part in a defence that looked solid for most of the game.

Colo - 9 - Best player on the pitch. We so miss him when he doesn't play. His first touches and passes to get us out of danger are orgasmic. Brilliant.

Willo - 7.5 - I thought he was solid today. Can't really fault him. When the ball is played in the box, and coming towards him, I **** myself, but he made some good clearances and headers, despite looking like ponnochio when kicking the ball.

Santon - 7 - Some good defending, can't really fault him on anything but him pissing about on the ball a bit too much. He tried to skin players in danger areas. Good, but not his best.

Ben Arfa - 8 - Some beautiful skills and passes. He could have made the difference and helped us get our 2nd goal so many times, but unfortunately we could put the final touch on it.

Cabaye - 7 - He scored our goal, a decent finish. Some good play, but not that great IMO. Made some ****ing foolish tackles at times. He didn't really get dirtier than anyone else, but he went in a bit too quick and I thought he might have seen a couple of yellows. Still, he got forward and did his thing, and scored our goal.

Tiote - 0 - <doh> Wasn't that good when playing, and his sticking his legs out unnecessarily has eventually bitten him in the face. Maybe this will be good for him. Maybe getting away with it too often is the reason he did it today.

Jonas - 7 - Thought he put in a good shift and his work rate in attack and defence was great. Some good skill in tight positions, and played a role in our performance.

Perch - 8 - Great performance and almost got a great assist. His passing ability has really improved, and he used his pace and energy very well!

Ba - 8 - Unlucky not to score. Caused them problems all day. Good performance and well done for that spell in CM that he had to play.

Shola - 7 - Was a thorn in their arse when he played. His day was undeservedly cut short.

    Saylor and Ober - N/A

    MOTM - Colo easily.

Overall - A bit gutted, but I'm glad it wasn't worse. Would have been a disaster if we lost after such a good performance. Would have killed our morale.

The fans were fantastic, and we outsung the monkey ****s for 85 mins. Then we were a bit below them for a couple of mins after their goal, then they were back down again.

A great day out and a great experience.

P.S.!!! Managed to get Cabaye's goal on cam and my reaction is insane. I make such a weird noise when screaming lmao. You'll see it eventually. Not gonna upload tonight because it will definitely be taken down for copyright.

It was disappointing for most of us when Shola was substituted, but after being booked, I guess Pardew didn't want to risk being yet another man down, it is the Derby after all and tensions were high.
Am I right in thinking Shola went straight down the tunnel and didn't join the others on the bench, we were in the pub, it was difficult to tell?

Hero of the day Colloccini, certainly back to his best, absolutely rock solid today.

Pardew made errors in taking off Colo and putting Obercunt on.

If Colo stayed on they were pissing against the wind for other 5 minutes I'm sure of it. I had started cross stithc I was so sure if it then he went off and I just knew.

I don't get the referee's logic today. Chiekh Tiote raises a leg, shin height and catches a S'land player and it's a straight red for a "high footed challenge" despite not a glimmer of stud shown in the replay's yet before that a Sunderland player whips his whole leg into mid air which plows studs into the chest of Shola Ameobi and the ref is too dumfounded to even bat an eyelid. With 11 men I was thinking there was going to be a whole array of goals for the highlights tonight. Wasn't to be. :\

Shola was quite rightly ticked off and showed it by storming straight down the tunnel!

If I watched the Tiote incident a 100 times over I'd never say it was a red card.

Was never a red card, but it's his own stupid fault. He makes unnecessary challenges all the time. Maybe this is well set him on the right path.

I agree I think he's started being over agressive this season but he has a passion that I just love. I think fletchers rolly pollys etc were all part of a plan from Sunderland to get him off as revenge for him making the most of sausagebottoms red last time around. we must go with Perch for 3 games now and to be honest Perch is a very good DM - much better there than at RB.

Double standards of the mags fans are astonishing regarding the Tiote tackle, if that was Cattermole making the challenge you would be wanting him lynched and a red card would not be enough but then I forget Tiote is just overzealous and not a dirty player like Cattermole at all.

erm I wasn't aware Fletcher had his leg broken ? if I'm honest those can result in red so fair enough, however I thought the ref and his linesman were having a bit of a mushroom party this afternoon.
