On a brighter note, we've scored at least one goal against Sunderland in the last 26 Tyne/Wear derbies.

It's the biggest game in their season - We have much bigger fish to fry and they know it. Some of their fans are a disgrace. Anyone remember the Bobby Robson chants a few years back?

Northumbria Police is investigating allegations that Newcastle United's Demba Ba was racially abused during the Wear-Tyne derby after a tip-off from Sky Tyne and Wear.

One of our regular site users alerted us to the apparent comment from a Sunderland fan during the match at the Stadium of Light.

It could allegedly be seen in footage broadcast on Sky Sports 1.

We passed details of the allegation on to Northumbria Police so they could investigate.

Chief Supt Steve Neill said: "We have received a report of racist language being used at the Sunderland versus Newcastle game.

"Northumbria Police will not tolerate racism in any form and enquiries into the report are being carried out."

It's high time these arseholes got punished for their fans behaviour!!! that chair throwing, the kid running on the pitch and pushing our keep both went without any punishment!!! they should be deduscted points if you ask me.

Yes but the hoop bouncer still rounds off his comments with a little jibe.

Martin O'Neill gave a quality answer to Steven Taylor's comments in the papers by saying... "I haven't read the story but some of the players were talking about it, well I'm glad Steven was able to make their bench". <laugh>

nothing will happen about this! if anything does they will fine both clubs but Sunderland fans need to learn a lesson and if Harper wasn't such a pussy the last time and let that little scroat off perhaps they would have already,

Agent Bruce would do a much better job for us ...................... oops, I mean them. To be honest though, I think we'd have won it quite easily if the refs red and white scarf hadn't been blowing in his eyes so much.

yes I mean every 50 50 was a free kick for them today

every stone wall foul on us was a free kick for them

I am starting to realise the world actually feels sorry for Sunderland - Sky employ a cast of pundits designed to embrace a Newcastle defeat every time we are on TV.

If gold balls were thrown and they was racist chanting a points ban is required

This is 3 times in a row at their place and it's time they got what is needed to stop it.

2 points would be ideal given we dropped 2 but 2 at a minimum.

What better chance to make an example of a club.
