There is absolutely nothing classy about West Ham, its fans, its owners or its ground.

Kicking you when your down? How's that then?

Don't be such a big sensitive flower.

I'm merely questioning your managers position and mentioning an outstanding, currently unemployed candidate who lives close to your club that would, in all probability take the job in a shot.

Southampton fans know more about Redknapp that West Ham fans do?

    Blimey, things you learn....

Well clearly you aren't aware of the reason he'll never be welcomed back here, so you can't know that much about him. For the record, I do think he's an excellent manager but there is no way in hell Saints fans will get on board with him returning.

What a shame, you seemed like a very reasonable, unbiased and level-headed chap in the other thread, turns out you are far from that! Ah well.

    Care to explain that comment?

Is it the tongue in cheek "true premier league manager" comment you object to (made in jest after all the long ball jibes).

And yes I do believe Adkins is out of his depth. You all seem blindly loyal to him after those fantastic back to back promotions. But there is no room for sentiment when it comes to staying in the premier league.

I am very reasonable and very level headed. A bit of banter with opposing fans doesn't change that. I am capable of sensible debate but I also like a bit of fun at times.

This is football and a few jokes and jibes between rival fans is what makes it great.

This is football, and being in the Premier League is not the be-all and end-all.

    Genuine question.

Would you rather be a prem team with Redknapp or a championship team with Adkins?

I personally enjoyed the championship but We celebrated our promotion like we had won the champions league and so did you. I think it's safe to say the prem is where we all strive to be and I would be surprised if anyone was ok with relegation.

Adkins may well keep you up. But I am amazed that some of you would pass up the chance of having a manager of Redknapps calibre regardless of the past.

We have history with him too. Some of our fans would be opposed to his appointment here, but its amazing how a few wins and a few top half finishes would change the minds of the modern football fan.

Gloating about a 4 1 win isn't exactly patronising, HR and Saints have history, some things we can forgive, but not what he did for us.

If it comes to it, Championship with Adkins is a much better option, if anyone could get us back up he would be my number 1 candidate.

Championship with Adkins, without any doubt. Didn't hesitate for a second with that answer.

Jokes, light-hearted banter is fine and always a good laugh and enjoyable, but the bolded comments below are not 'jokes' or 'banter', they are misguided, insulting, ignorant and biased comments.

And we are not blindly loyal to Adkins, some people are, some people are blindly opposed to him, most are in the middle. Happy with him to continue as our manager at this point in time for the forseeable future, but he has not been perfect this season and he has made many mistakes, and we know that, but he can improve, and he is a better option at the moment than most alternatives.

To be honest IF Adkins got sacked or resigned I wouldn't complain if Redknapp replaced him and kept us up. If we got relegated with him however, it would be a completely different story.

I think our opinions on what passes as light hearted banter may differ somewhat.

Nothing I have written there is is too offensive. A few mischievous comments designed to spark a reaction should not be taken too seriously.

When did football all get so sissy?

Either react or ignore. But don't go telling me I'm not a reasonable level headed individual based on a bit of footy banter!
