    You love **** stirring.

Steven Taylor brought any abuse on himself - he deliberately went looking for it in the build up.

As for racist abuse against Ba - if true (note the word "alleged" in the article) then that is digraceful. No question. How many Sunderland fans are supposed to be guilty of this? - er, one. Non story.

Bollocks. The articles refer, in the case of Ba, to one supporter in the crowd making a comment. If he did, he should be banned, but don't go on about "racially abusing" like it's racist chanting. As for the other stuff, the article says MON is pissed off with it, but that stuff was coming from both sides and the NUFC bench didn't hear anything much.

Saylor said he'd rather be a stamp collector than player for Sunderland, because he's a true geordie and Newcastle fan. I'm sure most Newcastle fans would say the same, and I'm sure most Sunderland fans would say something similar about us.

We both have hatred towards each other, it's not just a one way thing.

Death chants and threats are not justified just because a person mocked his rivals club. It's pathetic.

I know it's only a a section of the fans, but the amount of fans that took part in the chant is quite alarming.

Classiest thing on the pitch today was Cabaye.

    Never moaned like a bitch.

    Never got away with anything.

    Just class, someone to behold.

This, hilarious to see Sunderland fans justifying it, speaks volumes.

Also I would believe nothing from the Geordie press!!! Look at the lies they spread last year, they embarrassed themselves! Police and even Newcastle staff rubbished it!

Rofl, there's a big difference between us joking about Cattermole saying Saville is his dad, than death threats and racist abuse... and lobbing objects at players.

Don't even bother trying to compare them.

    Justifying it?

Don't know where you get that from. What's "hilarious" is how you claim the moral high ground on the back of this. I've been to many a derby game in my 50 years and some of the crap that's come from your lot has been pretty grim. I know it comes from our side too, and that is just as bad, but the whole tone of your article is well on the snotty side.

That comment made me laugh I must admit.

Any chants like that from us is also vile, however we aren't the ones who believe we have an upper hand in class, neither of our teams are classy or unclassy, we are just football clubs.

Toon fans are hardly angels, but I've never heard us doing much other than take the piss out of opposition players in a joking manner, sing about how ****e Sunderland is, and get drunk.

I've never seen us throw things at players and sing things as horrible as what some of you sang to Stevie Taylor, and I've only ever heard one toon fan say anything racist at a game.

I laughed too. There's nothing wrong with banter like that, but it shouldn't not escalate too far.

If his tactical nous & subsitutions had been 20% as brilliant as that quote we'd not have drawn.
