It's not working though is it? And say we get a top draw goal poacher in january, who makes way for who? Besides, I don't want to play Spanish football, it's boring ****, I want Liverpool football, Suarez as Dalglish, but who as Rush?
Except Messi is a scorer of great goals AND a great scorer of goals. He leads the line and creates. Suarez in English football simply is too wasteful to be relied upon (yes, he's our top scorer and top 5 in the league, but he creates so many chances which are wasted). For me, he's better suited to the 'in the hole' style player who creates the space and chances for others. Unfortunately, in this system, the others are the two wide players who equally are not great goal scorers. I would much rather see Suarez as one of the wide forwards where he can drift around with more freedom, still chip in with goals and be the creator whilst letting the full backs provide the width which they do well atm. Could you imagine how many more we'd score with Suarez feeding a proper goal scorer? Never mind the ones he's make for himself. TL;DR, unless you're as good as Messi, you need someone prolific along side you as a false number 9. We need someone alongside Suarez.
I think the goals to games ratio and Suarez's standing in the scoring charts for this season are very mis-leading, simply because he bagged a hat-trick. Would have been better for the team had he scored a goal in each of the three seperate games rather than a hat-trick and then two blanks. His finishing IS suspect, if he was able to take his chances then he would be a 40+ goals and 20+ assists a season player. He would be considered world class as a record like that would put him in the Messi / C.Ronaldo bracket. However, he is not!!!
