During the last week we have witnessed some ugly scenes in Serbia and Sheffield, with obscene racist chanting and assaults on players, I wont hold my breath for Fifa/Uefa to take proper action against Serbia who in my opinion should be banned from the next 3 tournaments (a poxy fine won't work but banning them for 3 tournaments will have an effect), now I will come to the assaults on players by fans, if Chris Kirkland does not wish to press charges against the person (add your own description) then he is very foolish, the incident was witnessed by lots of people some of them young impressionable people who will doubtless think that it is all right to hit someone as action is not always taken. (Could a member of the public not bring action, has happened in the John Terry racism case?.
Just watched it on Youtube, and realised that he didn't actually punch him, did he? Kirkland's gone down and bit easily to be fair. Should've just sparked the sheepshagging **** out.
I think any player caught diving deserves a good kicking or stoning to death. That will make them think twice.
That would make for cracking half time entertainment. The fans could get a vote for the choice of punishment. I go for mauling to death by a pack of rabid poodles.
There have but why not enter into the spirit? Should players be executed for diving and racial abuse and, if so, what method would you choose? We could be doing soemthing to revolutionise the game here and your thoughts would be as welcome as anyone else's.
Im still laughing at kirklands possum defence but i hope the lad who pushed him goes to jail just for making the best fans in the country look like animals.
