I think Fergie's response is OTT... why should you do something you don't wish to. My boss is rasing money for Help for Heroes. I put money towards this and joine din fundraising, however, if my boss wanted us to al wear H4H t-shirts to work, I sspect there woudl be at leats 3 of my team would wouldn't wear them. Supporting the boss with his efforts to meet his target, however they would uncomfortable promoting the charity.

However, I do believe that the red tops would have a field day if, in this instance, the players was white.

That the FA then chose to punish Terry with a ban half that of a foreign import player lends support to his idea that they are spineless in their so called quest to kick racism out of football.

 

Terry is a racist and should be dealt with very harshly imo,but rio proved he is just as bad as any (again imo)when he called ashley cole a choc ice(seems a harmless comment at first until you know how much of an insult this is in some cultures).and then he refuses to support a campaign against racism.

He should be punished as much as terry imo

I disagree, Ferdinand didn't say those words. He just quoted them. However all the anti Ferdinand camp want to make more of it, it just is not the same.

It was a fact that Terry called his brother a ****ing black **** yet Cole chose to deny it happened. Had Ferdinand gone on twitter and he himself then said Cole is a choc ice **** there would be a case to answer.

I forgot he didnt say it he just retweeted it but because of the amount of people who follow him on twitter i think its just as bad.

If rio is so bothered by racism then why contribute to it and if terry was guilty why didnt he get found guilty in court.

I think there's more to this than meets the eye. Sir Alex Ferguson is well known for backing his players in public so I'd imagine it may be the case that Rio said he would wear it and then decided not to.

As others have said it should, of course be up to the individuals and not the managers but this is why i think something's gone on between SAF and Rio.
