The cowardly act by that piece of filth posing as a Leeds fan will shift all the media attention onto "Dirty Leeds" and allow them to forget about Terry (who should never have been allowed near a football pitch again) and England's continued problems at International level. This fella needs locking up for a VERY LONG TIME!!! As for David Jones, he is nothing short of a disgrace as well. He is upset because he didn't get the win, Wednesday are struggling and he knows he faces the sack. Calling all Leeds fans racists is just shocking behaviour from a manager of a super football club, and his irresponsible remarks deserve a sanction. I can't see Mandaric tolerating Jones much longer.
 
Im prepared to defend Leeds from any criticism people throw at us, but for this we have no defence, if he really is a Leeds fan then he has totally disgraced our club, and we will be rightfully punished for it. We cannot have this kind of person joining our away support if we went to the premier league, it would be an embarrassment, something needs to be done to make it clear this kind of person is not welcome at a Leeds games ever again. But to be honest over the last couple of decades I think Leeds fans have been some of the most well behaved and have never done anything like this before, unfortunately we get tarred with the ‘leeds scum' tag, so when anything does happen it looks much worse for us
 
The Leeds support behaved well at Cardiff but incidents like tonight let you down and will be continually dragged up until they are completely driven out.

Most Leeds fans are great, well behaved supporters but like most clubs (including Cardiff) you have a minority who spoil it for the rest.

Thats the trouble though, they won't, any bit of trouble concerning Leeds United, and i'm not saying tonights was a bit, it was disgraceful, but because its us everything is blown out of proportion, we could have no trouble for, say, 20 years, and one dickhead could do something as moronic has tonight and all you would get is, well what do you expect, its Leeds United, Millwall have the same problem, yet our clubs are trying as hard as any other but the stigma is still there.
Every club in the land have dickheads, yet you get ****s coming on here telling us how vile we are, ****ing hypocrites.
There were 5000 Leeds fans at Hillsborough yet a few knobheads have dragged us through the mud, to the delight of a lot of opposing fans on here.
must add though, there as been a lot of fans not blaming the majority of Leeds fans.

He compared us against the issue of racism in the game and that what was being chanted was a "form of racism". What precisely was being chanted? I wasn't there, but based on what else I have read and on what I know from years of following LUFC, it seems to be accusing Jones of being a *****phile (or as OneLeeds would say, a nonce), amongst other chanting.

Now that we are here in the light of day and the emotion of 5 minutes after the match has finished has gone, hopefully calmer and more incisive heads will now prevail from those in charge, from those involved, and from those fans on here who were clearly pissed up and trying to deflect from the real issues by claiming other things were such terrible things to say or things during the match were worse than this assault

According to the BBC this morning a section from both sets of fans were chanting pretty nasty stuff at each other. To compare football chanting which happens all over the world to being a form of racism is diabolical and Jones will have done his own reputation no good drawing more unwanted attention on himself over his own past problems.

We can all guess that there were chants aimed at him and his court case 12 years ago, he obviously didn't handle that well last night and for some reason it got to him.

Why do you think the tv companies demand to speak to the represnetatives of the clubs within 5 or 10 minutes ofthe end of the game? Because that is when those massive emotions and all the pent-up stuff is still high, and the natural human reaction is to say what is there. It is part of the human psyche. And it makes great tv and leads to everyone talking about the issues, which are not usually about football and somethign great that happened, but always somethign negative.

And one stupid LUFC fan gave him the opportunity to have a right go at LUFC in general. He was given the green light to rant. And he took it, and the spotlight is on us, and while it is on us, and your reaction is to attack him and libel him and claim there must be fire if there is smoke, you prove that he is right. Fool.

I did not see Dave Jones interview last night but I did see a post match interview on tele this morning. What he said was if its one, a hundred or a thousand they should all be banned. I would agree with him 100%. I did wonder if it was the same interview as quoted last night and in todays papers. A bit of selective editing and on tv he says they should all be banned - something entirely different. I am not sure he said what you think he said....

I could have done without waking up to GC on radio 5 live at 07.00 this morning pontificating on events. He was not there last night and was yet again only grooming his ego and bigging himself up. He is a media whore.

If you see it that way fine, if it makes you happy and will cheer your dreary day up fine, Jones got two things right when he labelled Leeds fans vile, the guy who ran onto the pitch and you Mr or Mrs Sheldon, Elmo, Leeds 666 or whatever. Oh and why on the high ground username Leeds 666 the devils number?
 
A form of racism = racist behaviour... except if you are Chelsea captain then its just talking dirty. So Sheldon, Jones was calling Leeds fans racists and sticking the racist sticker on our backs at a time when it is under severe scrutiny. Very poor behaviour by a man in a responsible position.

The video footage of the cretin who attacked Kirkland is very clear. Assume someone will do the decent thing and shop him.

Although I know a lot of Leeds fans - the vast majority - are decent, I have seen enough over the years to be able to say with confidence we have a bigger proportion of the brain dead than do most teams. On that point, look at the video of the cretin as he rejoined the crowd - they all seem very amused at his "playful antics", don't they?

Kirkland went down justifiably. Anyone thinking otherwise is blinkered, Look at the video, he did not even see the "brave" Leeds fan until he was in front of him, the moron did not look like he was going to thump him, then suddenly clocked him one. I would have gone down, so would you, stop fooling yourselves.

On the managers statements : Warnocks comes out of this quite well, man enough to retract his daft statement. I don't blame anyone for making daft statements 5 minutes after the game ends, but it would be nice to hear Jones clarify his sweeping generalisation about Leeds support - he loses his cred by making it too sweeping.

But, for heavens sake stop looking for things to whine about, the only point here is Leeds fans (some of) behaved disgracefully. yes - so did Wednesdays, the manager said a dumb thing, and the GK had the cheek to fall over when he was attacked... but get real, the only feeling a Leeds fan should have today is shame/ embarrassment

The chanting, songs, shouting abuse (happens at all games by every team, it is part of football right or wrong it is and it isn't going away) and the keeper situation are two very different things.

IF that idiot along with a few others who jumped the boards hadn't done that and Dave Jones made an outburst like that what would you have felt?

Dave Jones used the excuse of the fan assaulting the Keeper to tarnish all Leeds fans, Dave Jones took it personal, it wasn't all about the fan running on the pitch, it was about the chanting. Dave Jones also used the current media attention on racism to liken it to that.

He made it sound like it is only Leeds fans that do it to him when it is clear he suffers the same at most games no matter who he manages. As others have pointed out, Wenger has suffered it for years, I am not condoning it, I am simply saying it happens, players do it to one another.

Dave Jones has a grey area over his past, fans will pick up on that and sing/chant - We lost the lives of two fans to Turkish murderers, are Dave Jones own Sheff W fans fans any better when they sing songs about that?

The same, that is was a daft comment that he ought to withdraw, because it is too sweeping. As daft as saying "all Muslims...." or "all Chinese............."

But you miss my point completely, that idiot and the others who went on the pitch, and the much larger number who smiled their approval - DID do that.

And we should not clog up these threads whining about other things, it diverts from the central point that we should be condemning the idiots on the pitch, and the physical attack on the GK in particular.

If you are able to remember the London bombings that killed 50 odd people, the thing that got me was some "Muslim leaders" afterwards, coming on to say they (sort of) thought the bombings were bad (well a bit bad, anyway... maybe) but of course this was all because of the policy of the US (in the Middle east) supported by our government in the UK. Total tosh - you don't qualify your condemnation of murdering 50 innocent people, no matter what other crimes others have (or have not) perpetrated.

What you are doing here, going on about other issues, is analogous to that reaction - you are failing to address the need to stand out against that sort of moronic behaviour
