Thought this would be worth a mention on here. This is probably the derby I look forward to most (non-Chelsea that is). The passion on both sides and the fact it isn't one of those Sky orchestrated ones makes it the best, especially when it's at Sunderland.

How do you think the game will go? I'm tempted to go for a narrow Newcastle win but in useless at predicting Tyne-Wear derbies. Opposite always happens. Fancy Demba Ba and Steven Fletcher to both get on the scoresheet. Should be a cracking game <ok>

I've got loads of Geordie mates and they can't wait for it. It's probably the biggest derby in England from the supporters point of view. I think it will be a draw tbh. 1-1 is my prediction but should be a great atmosphere. May even match the atmosphere from WHL today! ;)

It will outmatch WHL for sure. I think it's the biggest rivalry in England. If you support Sunderland you hate Newcastle more than anyone and vice versa.

I know fans of both so it'll be interesting to see who (if anyone) comes out on top. Both sides really need a win to kick start their season, especially Sunderland

This game was hilarious last season. Like something out of the 70s/80s.

I'm taking the safe option and betting on Shola Ameobi to score tomorrow.

No Dave have you? I was going to do a score cast on our game yesterday 3-1 Cahill FS but I never bet on Chelsea games.

    Odds of 1/100 <laugh>

It was good when Middlesborough were in the Prem too. There was a period when the games between the 3 clubs would often end in 3-3/3-2 making them great games to watch.

I agree about the Tyne-Wear derby being the biggest in the league.

Hope Newcastle don't sit back now because it was turning into a cracking game.

I honestly think Newcastle would have had this in the bag 11 v 11. Even with 10 they've looked much the better team.

I really don't think it was a red, nowhere near as bad as Sky are making it out to be. At St James Park it's probably a yellow

Atkinson is a major idiot, ruined what looked to be a top class game.

They don't. They've created nothing even with a man advantage for an hour. Newcastle are fully deserving of the win if they hold on.

    As I type <laugh> 1-1
