I'm sorry I thought I was watchinga fantastic and entertaining saints team in the prem for the first time in a while having won back to back promos. Some people can gripe about anything, anytime, anyhow - the only answer is Prozac. Its good to see all the usual suspects talking sense, thanks StG, Beef, Fat, Nice ... and then there's gomarchin in who clearly has a personality disorder that he calls 'opinions'. If you can't be happy now, you'll never be happy - Look at Nigel - a leader who leads by example - much love.
Nigel and I do love him is not really a leader , a nice man who you cant understand morelike , he comes out with stuff even he cant grasp .
You all moan about Le Tisser criticizing Cortese, then why don't you stop making threads, ignore it and stop making a big deal out of it?
So we're meant to ignore and pretend that doesn't happen, but make a big deal out of rumours that Cortese is not a nice person or is over-involved? Dear me. Just one more step to North Korea. Do not criticise.
Probably because we don't like the thought of the damage it can be causing our club. I think we all care about the club and the individuals who are apart of its history, present and future.
Us not discussing on here is hardly going to suddenly erase it from all the publications and television shows with immediate effect is it? Matt talks about it online, on TV, and in the papers. I see nothing wrong with this thread.
Just a thought - how many successful, effective business leaders are actually what 'we' might consider 'nice men'? The majority are ruthless, self-interested and not terribly interested in the past, merely in the present and the future. We could have Le Tiss and Pinnacle in charge, and another Celebrations night club. Or we could have Cortese and a self reliant, structured and successful business operation. I know which I'd choose...
Fair comment but as we are talking about someone so well known as MLT (also a media presenter) I think discussion is justified. If we were talking about random fans ranting on Twitter I would definitely agree that there is no need to republish their comments here, and personally I would be more than happy to ignore what Matt is saying. But for members and guests who don't read everything he says on Twitter, DTLW's updates are helpful. There is only one thread with a clear(ish) title and I think that is reasonable enough.
Spot on. My own sources, as I am sure many others on here, have met with the parties under discussion. I wouldn't choose to have a beer with the chairman of Saints, but would with a Saints legend. However, the current chairman has done a wonderful job - even if , as reported, he maybe a bit of an arse ;-)
Like all things guys and gals....you have to move on.......you cannot erase History or change it, despite a few that try! The reality is MLT has moved on, his loyalty to the club while playing is without question.........There is no doubting he still has a soft spot for the club. However he is not involved with it any more.....he doesn't get the adoration he once got from it's fans. Yes some of us older ones still hold him in high esteem. He is entitled to his opinion re Cortese......the facts of Cortese's leadership, of his involvment within the club are open to debate. He gets a little information from Doddsy and he adds abit more tittle tattle making a total of 5 from 2+2. No different to us when we hear snippets and tittle tattle....MLT is human too...... The breakdown of his take over consortium, probably leaves a bitter taste...with a lot of regrets. Whether they would have done better is a matter of conjecture.......I am not sure they would have done............So come on Matt.........just leave it out........You are not doing yourself or the Saints any favours...trust me!!
