I did notice a "Jewell Out" banner unfurled in the Ipswich end at the final whistle

They look in real danger of being this season's Coventry - A former top flight club who after flirting with relegation eventually drop through the trap door.

Sounds to me like he's gonna throw in the towel.

You wouldn't talk like that if you still had confidence in yourself.

    Back to Sky Sports?

If Jewell did leave Ipswich who do we think would take over? Coyle, McCarthy, Steve Kean, even Phil Brown perhaps?

Jewell's post match interview seemed very "end of the road'" to me so not surprised at this.. he questioned the committment of his players even their scorer so maybe he's lost so dressing room.. no way back.

After tha piss poor display of anti-football, he deserves to go.

Time wasting in the first five minutes when the game's at 0-0 is disgraceful.

Not a chance, they have one of the best squads on paper in't league. Hope the new manage does equally as **** and leaves the pilot light off, they could be a real force if they did their best.

Certainly the poorest side at the KC so far this season.. some quality players on paper but an ageing side who generally were run ragged in the end by City..

I thought Jimmy Jewell was a poor appointment in the first place - he'd had a nightmare spell at Derby and had been out of the game for some time after that.

You sensed that was it for him in management - working only as a pundit on Sky perhaps with the other also rans in management.

Ipswich have now had three poor managers in Magilton Keane and now Jewell. Doesn't look good for them for the rest of the season.

Will be very surprised if he doesn't hand in his notice on Monday.

I think Jewell will go but its a pretty handy team if they get going. Wellens and Reo Coker were clearly not match fit, which it makes it all the more baffling how they dominated Mckenna and Oli. But when they are Ipswich will be alright.

The year we went up there was about 6 or 7 managers got sacked after losing to us, I seem to recall only the Burnley guy though, memories a bit bad these days.

I thought Millwall were worse, and Ipswich were no better than Peterborough.
