Seems like Elmo had another great game from what I've read: http://www.kingfut.com/2012/10/20/live-pharaohs-abroad/ What do you lads think?
Around 60 minutes, I was planning on slating him. But when we really started pushing (ironically when he went to RB) - he really came on. Every time he got the ball, he had the beating of their LB, and kept swinging in brilliant crosses. He has such a great cross in him.
I thought Elmo had a great game. I'm not sure if anyone else heard, during the middle of the second half Elmo was screaming at McKenna to give him some service which was shortly followed by McKenna shouting back "shut the fu** up". Following this, Elmo then set up both goals.
Bruce was also bollocking Mckenna for slowing it down and not providing service for Elmo. Knows his onions does Brucey.
Does anyone think he looks far better when coming from deep? As i think we all agree he did far better in the second half, and i have to admit when he has the ability and space to gain pace and run at the defence he looks far better. Either that or he just took advantage of Jewell been stupid and letting Emmanuel Thomas mark him.
I was slagging Elmo off, me. And then he set up two goals. In my defence, in the first half, I don't think he did much. He seemed to refuse to make runs at times, or was at least reluctant. McKenna even clearly bollocked him for it at one point. "Well in" I thought, "he needs to be told". Then when he went to right back, he got forward more than on the right wing. I have no answers for this. It doesn't matter. He came good in the end, as did the whole team frankly.
Sorry party but Mckenna only tries to bollock people to cover up his own inadequacy. We keep been linked with a dominant CM and theres a reason for that. Brucey has this team sussed. If the Allams let him get in who he wants we are going up
I thought Elmo had his best game for us so far - superb crosses in the second half led to both goals and it was good to see him go outside his man + get to the byline to get his crosses in.
McKenna constantly slows our attacks down, when he recieves the ball he is always checking back and stops the momentum.
Elmo played 95% of his games with Egypt as a RB/RWB. He only started playing RM at Sunderland. Personally rate him much higher as a RWB, as his speed makes it easy to push forward but still manage to track back. Found highlights of the match btw, embedded in this post now: http://www.kingfut.com/2012/10/20/live-pharaohs-abroad/
