Very well taken, showed the type of gambling and willingness to get in to the box that we don't really get from our other strikers. Has to start vs Boro.
Listening to Bruce now. Sounds very happy with the team and him. He also said he doesn't know what formation we were playing! Has to start next game.
All credit to SB for the way he's handled Prozzy (ooh-err!). Took him out of the firing line when his confidence could have been crushed and brought him back raring to go.
237/1 with betfair! Great odds, considering Fryatt is 104/1 and probably won't even play this season.
Me and mates were hoping he'd get on was set up for him, loads of balls into box but nobody was gambling, Simpson was really lethargic, Took both goals well put himself in the positions which Simpson should of done. Probably see a different player after that, created a pivot to play off up top too. Him and Mclean looked promising together.
Absolutely. Simpson is always there in the 6 yard box but apart from him we've lacked a brave, fox in the box type for ages and Proschwitz did that today, did really well to get in those positions. It was very brave. When he took Oli off against Peterborough I think it was it went tits up and we actually got worse at both ends, so I wasn't too pleased about him doing it again this time but it worked a treat.
I wouldn't say so. I recall him having a few chances. One he had a shot vs the keeper, but wasn't at a great angle, he powered it on target and the keeper made a save. Another, the ball fell to him in a crowded penalty area, took a touch and the chance had gone really. Near the end, ball bounced to him awkwardly, and hooked it just over.
depends if you call 7 yards out, dead centre with the goalkeeper on his arse a bloomer... of course, ill get accused of victimising him and not appreciating him now but ill live with that. just like i said after sheff weds, i was pleased he scored us the winner that day, but 1 swallow etc....
McLean made a positive impact for me today. His touch was a bit off as usual, but he added the drive and impetus we needed when we appeared to be stagnating in the game. And Big Nick plonked his two goals home wonderfully. Clever movement, good gambling. Long may it continue.
One blasted straight at the keeper, one skewed wide of the goal and one his poor touch meant he waited ages to tee it up before having it blocked. Consistent as always.
Someone commented to me at the end of the game that had Proschwitz scored a third goal he'd have been a gerry hatrick.. boom boom,.. Seriously though well chuffed for Nick - Bruce very upbeat after the game and hoping crowds will come back - rousing last 20 mins though -really enjoyed last minute winner - shades of Stuart Elliott against DQPR today for the big German. Also, SB said we had 29 shots on target -if true my God. The 2-1 win so late in the game - a game we dominated from start to finish and after going a goal behind - will stand us in good stead for the rest of the campaign..
similar to millwall, i reckon weve had more shots on goal under bruce then pearsons whole reign, no joke either we probably really have
