It would be good if they were getting clean sheets and pulling off super stops, i.e Spurs with Friedal and Lloris. (And to some extent cudicini and Gomes, they do have some quality keepers!). But unfortunately we're not blessed with that, although my vote is with Gazza.

I have come to the conclusion that it would not be good to sack NA now, it would be better to import someone with Premier tactical nous to assist him, I reckon he is trying too hard to please everyone, and trying to be tactical with Lambo isn't a good idea, he needs to be started and if it is not working, replaced, not the other way about.

Yeah but it's about experience. Boruc will be far more used to players trying to push him about.

It's annoying, but there inlies the difference between Man Utd and Arsenal. United have RVP, Rooney, Nani, Valencia etc to salvage something for them in the last 5 mins. Arsenal have Gervinho and Arshavin. Once the clock hit about 75, I felt it was inevitable that Norwich were going to hold on for the rest of the match. Cazorla wasn't going to do it by himself.

Le Tiss saying Adkins said he must play 4-3-3 in his post match interview, making out Cortese is to blame again.

In his interview Nigel sounds as if he knows whats coming to him, i think he will be gone by the spurs game, whether there is a replacement wainting or not.

It's the whole structure of the club. It is the Southampton Way. It has been slowly implemented in the first team since Cortese's arrival, but has been quickly put in place from the youth up first.

This isn't Cortese being a bellend. This is a vision being laid down for the years to come. If the team is struggling, then it is not necessarily his fault - the players are failing to adapt. In other words, we need new recruits.

    Ahh, I've missed this place.

    Well, a little.

    Actually, not that much.

Nah, I haven't missed it at all.

I was a bit nervous when I saw the starting lineup for numerous reasons. After the first half it looked like the selections were pretty good. We had chances and Carroll was not a problem. The 2nd half came and the same old problem came as well. For whatever reason we have players who cannot pay attention to the game for a full 90 minutes. They seem to switch off and we give up a couple of goals. Then they switch on and we play well again until a player takes another mental vacation and we cough up more goals. Why is that happening? Is it the player? Seems like it to me but these players did not have this bad habit last year. The mental side is killing us. I'm not convinced it matters who is selected if we continue to have players check out in the middle of the game. For me that is what really needs fixing. We all know our defence is poor. I am sure NA and NC tried to get more and could not. Until January we cannot do much and I am sure NC will realize we have to improve to stay up. None of that though really matters if players cannot focus on the game for 90 minutes. If the team has a mental coach they really need to evaluate if they are getting their money's worth. I don't think so.

We aren't playing 4-3-3 anyway. Not sure what the point in that is. Unless you meant he had to try and force that shape in pre-season and start of season?

Le Tiss is trying to make out Cortese is forcing Adkins to play 4-3-3.
