Sunderland and Newcastle have both spent 82 seasons in the top flight, of them 82 seasons Sunderland have won the league 6 times and been runners up 5 times compared to Newcastles 4 times and once runners up. Sunderland spent 57 consecutive seasons in the top flight compared to Newcastles record of 33. What ****ing shadow would that be like.

Durham? capital of the NE.
Why be capital of one small section of the North when you can be in charge of the whole lot
PS: I hate York, would much rather be in Durham. Such a lovely city and I hope be doing a Post Grad there.

To be honest, it is the people. The local people of Durham are a nicer breed than those I see in York. Plus, I have always felt more at home in the NE as opposed to here.

Having worked and lived in Durham I admit the people are very friendly and welcoming to visitors, however spent sometime in York over the years and like the history, museums and pubs (Maltings, Brigantes, Three Legged Mare, Last Drop Inn to name a few) more than Durham, but speak as you find.
