Clarkey, Jones reaction was an overreaction, but understandable given what had just happened. Think we'll have to suck that up & move on.

Maybe, went 3 out of last 4 home international games last 1 at Hampden lots of trouble there.England fans were far worse to be fair.In London Scots would pour out of Euston station trying to re-live the battle of Bannock-burn while struggling to stand up.They would be met by sober West ham and Chelsea,Culloden moor I'm afraid.
Think the main difference with England v Scotland games was the amount the Scots drank for this game and History.
Don't think there was always trouble but the broken goal posts thing started a downward spiral.

A typical knee-jerk reaction from an unintelligent man.

Your penultimate sentence stated it right. Fools have jumped in and have judged Dave Jones without any proof

In our society, you are innocent until proven guilty. Dave Jones has been proven not guilty, ergo is innocent

1 - no idea and don't care, irrelevant
2 - no idea and don't care, irrelevant
3 - no idea and don't care, irrelevant
4 - found guilty of something, can't remember what
    5 - don't have one but irrelevant
6 - he has taken 12 years of abuse from Leeds fans (and I have been at ER listening to it and it is sick -0 it is about time he had the opportunity to fight back against those twats)

A lack of proof doesn't prove innocence, jimmy savile wasn't innocent until he died.just not proven guilty.

Ok. Here's a hypothetical for you.

I accuse you of being a *****. I get a load of mates to also accuse you. We have a story that is our word against yours - and because the accusation is based on stuff that happened a year go, there is no forensic evidence. CPS and police agree to take it to trial. You lose your job and your family in the whole thing. Judge throws it out as trumped up nonsense.

But you have still lost your job, your family, and everyone knows you had this at some time.

So you saying you would be quite happy if people continued to accuse you of being a *****? Just because you aint been proven innocent of charges that should never have been brought?

You can't even argue a case properly without getting hot under a collar on the internet. How about 12 years of thousands singing abuse at you, like Leeds fans (and others) have.

I would take you to court and probably get you sent to prison for slander and your mates and get damages off you for my job loss, unless I had something to hide then i would just say i was innocent but do nothing about it.

You're a bit of a wuss, old boy. I'd hunt him & his pals down & torture them to death. And sadly for me, I probably mean this.

I completely agree on that (the rather violent cause on the basis of revenge for having been very badly wronged). That's what I would do too. But if it's kids? But if you are famous or well known?

I don't know the legal precedence for suing someone who has accused you wrongly of something, but if they are on legal aid, there is nothing for you to take. Your only recourse is Whitejock's.

But then you go down for murder. So they win either way (other than they are dead, but your life is over too).

I would love to see people like Dave Jones start taking people like on this site who accuse him of being a ***** or a nonce to court for libel. Maybe that will stop them from being so free with the unsubstantiated ****e they spout, which is too often swallowed on the basis that they are a fellow fan and must therefore be defended, no matter how bad they sound.

I don't even feel sorry for twats like that, I just want them removed from society

I just read something on JA that Elmo, 666 and some other username Sheldon went by has been banned a few times, one comment suggested it was for inappropriate name calling, while I do not believe everything I read I thought it was quite funny all things here considered.

Simon - if Leeds fans have been the worst offenders in singing highly demeaning and defamatory songs at him for 12 years (and I know that Leeds fans have sung this stuff every single match, I just don't know if we are the worst, and I also know that when the songs start up it sounds like it is the whole support singing) every time he has been involved in a match, I would say that he has done very well to keep it bottled in for 12 years.

    <ok>

I don't actually remember anyone making such a comment, so how could he? Think you're making things up in your own wee head. No accusations, matey!
