Not a lot of time, actually. I did analyse what Clarke Carlisle said in his documentary about there being no sub-continental Asian players whatsoever in the leagues as the worst form of racism. Suarez and Terry were visible targets for everybody to focus on, whereas the lack of something doesn't cause muppets like you to get all indignant because there's no focus. But there are no sub-continental Asians, despite many of them being prominent prospects in the youth game. Added to the dearth of black managers, the LMA, Fergie's lapdogs, and the FA, featuring Mr. Gill of Utd, are clearly culpable of institutional racism.

I've read, Marx, see? But I'd suggest weighty tomes are beyond your comprehension and perhaps a starter book on punctuation would assist you more. Footballer's? My analysis of that word is you're an uneducated muppet who can't even use an apostrophe correctly.

Karl Marx? Lol yeah that worked out for Eastern Europe & Large parts of Asia didn't it?

I can see a loose connection with Mandela there but I'd be interested to know how you link Marx with King? Or were you just throwing random names out. I could point you towards much more interesting works by much better writers & thinkers if you want to enrich your mind; how fulfilling it actually makes your life is debatable.

My analysis of the word "footballer's" is that my iPad suggested it and I couldn't be arsed to type.
See here for proof of my apostrophe skills; http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/173175-Shelvey-gets-first-England-call-up?p=3609314#post3609314

You can try and change the subject (a common tactic amongst LFC fans I can see) but the fact is an awful lot of time on your board is spent on in depth analysis of what so and so from another club has said or done and your perceived injustice.
    It's like a ****ing courtroom.
If you're the muppet finder general I suggest you've come to the right place.
Now stop being a muppet yourself and stop making excuses for Suarez and co.
...the way you talk about Rodgers I thought you was a fan of people being held accountable for the things they are responsible for.

Your over simplification of Marx is telling. His theories are relevant to just about everything happening concerning human affairs today.
We could both list hundreds of people worth reading.
The point however was merely that endlessly debating Suarez/Terry/Ferguson etc. is a bit of a waste of your time.

I actually agree about your last point. It's a football forum; hence my over simplification of Marx. His theories are deeply flawed in certain areas but then most people predicting the future have the same problem but that's a debate for the politics forum lol.

My pet hate isn't with Marx per se rather revisionists going back and attempting to review anything and everything from a Marxist perspective. It's an illogical process. Same thing happens with (broadly speaking) feminist theory. Looking backwards in time through the lens of a modern ideology is a waste of time.

Re: looking backwards in time through the lens of a modern ideology.
    I agree.
Used to hate being asked to write essays on the works of ________________ through the lens of feminism. Total waste of time.

...but Marx's analysis of capitalism was, for me, somebody thinking through a process to it's logical conclusion (from his perspective) and is increasingly useful to help us understand what's happening today.
Although those trying to introduce systems of governing a people and an economy using Marxist theory haven't been very successful...it is difficult to argue that we aren't seeing increasing evidence that some of his conclusions were correct.

Anyway, as you say, this isn't the place for that type of discussion....but believe me, an outsider reading through some of the threads on the Liverpool forum....well, it's hard not to laugh.
Some of your fellow posters need to stop taking bollocks so seriously and concentrate on your team.

Ach we do, different threads etc etc. it's more to get a reaction at times. There's very few LFC supporters believe that Fergie & United have THAT kind of power or influence other than as being one of the big teams of the last 2 decades. The accusation was leveled at us at one point in time.

Fergie is opinionated so reporters know to ask him the question of the day because he'll rarely say "that's not for me to comment on" lol.

Talking of concentrating on our team I'm off to steal a link to the game!

I'm not a fan of Rio's but hes got the right to wear or not wear a t-shirt carrying a slogan on behalf of an organisation he believes isn't doing enough to rid football of racism.
So because Fergie made a twat of himself getting over involved yesterday about another players right to do as he sees fit Rio will now be sanctioned.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, speaking about Rio Ferdinand not wearing a Kick It Out T-shirt in the warm-up before his side's game against Stoke: "At the press conference yesterday I spoke to the press about it. It is embarrassing for me. He will be dealt with, no doubt about that."

Hes acting like a fascist in an issue about racism.

Will be intresting to see what "dealt with" means. Fergi obviously gave no thought to how his own players felt when he commented on Roberts and now looks a bit of a tw@t.

  11. Fergie feels a twat but nothing will happen with Rio. If anything, Fergie will use it as an excuse to get rid of Rio because he is becoming a media icon so to speak

As a United supporter I would just like to say, screw Rio and screw Roberts.

Both are so desperate to get some media attention and "make a stand" they undermine the very campaign fighting the issues they are complaining against. Roberts has been ever present on TV and radio giving his fking opinion about everything concerned with racism and Rio never shuts the fk up on twitter.

Especially Roberts, he likes to claim he's been racially abused but he didn't have the balls to complain. To cowardly to fight against racism himself but more than happy to hijack someone else's case with no risk or reprisals against himself.

If Evra and Anton can wear the shirts, people who have been dragged before hearings and suffered abuse from rival fans, then who are they to decide not to on their behalf.

To be fair to Rio, it must be embarrassing wearing a shirt that opposes discrimination, when everybody knows that he avoided a ban when others didn't for the same offence because a compliant FA discriminated in his favour.

Fuhrer Fergie denying a black man his human rights?, punishing a player for making a choice that doesn't agree with his own?
