    Seems odd to me to take a player from outside your match day 18 to start when one drops out, whilst I appreciate that this is a huge match for you surely if Townsend is the natural replacement he should have been given the chance, you also dont then have to make other adjustments. I assume they were aware that this might happen and maybe this was always plan B
