Anyone hear his interview? It would appear that our chants (didn't hear them myself, but can imagine) are more important to him than the assault on his keeper. And we should be banned from all away grounds because of the chants. I tried as best as possible to transcribe it below. Prick.

Jones: Vile. Animals" (note plural!!) "What about the chanting? It's a form of racism in itself. And then to go & wave at them? Nah.... and we're talking about vile animals. And that's what they are! All of them. ..... What annoys me is that we talk about morals in the game and then they go to wave at them".

Interviewer: "So you seem to be lumping most of the Leeds fans in together? You don't see it as an isolated incident by one individual?

Jones: "No. It wasn't one chanting. I thought he was from their area as well. So they must have been bachhhing (sic) it. I've had it for 12 years and it's just upsetting that they're allowed to do it. They should be banned from every away ground now. And unfortunately with (sic) one idiot's run on to the pitch and punched my goalkeeper, then they need to sort it quickly".

LUFC should be banned from every ground because of a few chants? Btw, what were they?

Has he been on the sauce?

I'm also interested to know what the chants were. Didn't hear anything, what does he mean by "and then to go & wave at them". Who waved?

Yes I would like to know what the racist chants were? Waving does he mean the goal celebration?? It all kicked off the other side of the goal to the celebrating corner.

He meant the team after the final whistle. I did not think it was the right thing to do either

But don't judge him on an immediate after match interview when emotions are so high

Cos what he said in the circumstances was completely understandable, albeit wrong in many opinions including mine, and there is no need for us to stoop to the gutter levels that some have on here

Sorry Elmo, after us agreeing on lots recently, I have to disagree. The team were quite right to thank the fans after the game. They would have got slaughtered by us if they didn't!! I'm pretty sure the players don't agree with every chant that comes out, but they still thank the fans for spurring them on. I commend them for doing it.

And I do not care what Jones' emotions were like. Like he said, he's had it for 12 years. Only from Leeds fans? I think not!!! You'd think he'd be used to it by now, or at the very least, be able to deal with it. I've never heard him attack another team like that. He must really hate us. Were his original 'victims' from Leeds, perhaps?

You only have to google search him and the allegations to find pages of forum chatter and fans enjoying a good sing song at his expense. I guess the Jimmy Saville investigation has opened a few wounds.

But ONLY Leeds fans over the last 12 years? What was the chant anyway? I never heard anything. I heard the Wendies chanting something about Colin, but couldn't make that or anything else out.

I wasn't there to hear what was going on so am not going to judge yet, unlike some onhere

That twat was accepted back in to that crowd - real leeds fans should have kicked the **** out of him

My view is the team should have left the pitch without applauding the fans because of that one, sole incident

F there was also disgusting chanting its about time it was not seen as acceptable just like racism

Kick it out, don't applaud it, and that is not just against lufc but every team

I wouldnt have slapped his back or applauded his behaviour. I wouldn't have smacked him in the mouth even though I would have wanted to. Bang out of order and destructive to the team and we will get a fine. We lost all the momentum you get after a goal because of that prick. **** him, **** Dave Jones and why I am at it **** the racist football authorities. Logging off for the night <ok>

Agreed, something we had overlooked but immediately after it went in I felt we could win it despite the poor performance.

Me too. There heads would have dropped with the here we go again mentally and your most vulnerable after you score. I said just before we scored if we nicked one we may go on to take all three points but after that restart, no chance.

Not taking anything away from the wendies though they were up for it. How that knob in the boxing headguard didnt walk is beyond me. And I'm not above saying Becchio should have cost us a penalty.

Hope everyone got home safely as I imagine emotions were running high after that one.
