Yeah saw that Hopefully it'll be the kiss of death for you but worryingly he's got us 2nd in the league at the moment!
District, there is nothing you can do to win me over,I'm convinced that you are a lucky team in a false position and I'm waiting for the results to depict your play. Or I'm waiting for your luck to run out when we will see the real Chelsea come out....average at best.
We have been lucky in the last two yes Purley but at least I have the sense of observation to see that and the guts to admit it.
Personally i don't think anyone has really shone yet. Chelsea are as good a team as any to be top at the moment but like Thor i don't think their play has warranted them being 4 points clear.
Lucky in the last two, especially Man U. On the other hand, we were a little unlucky the first few games. We also gave up late goals in the first four, not that that was luck. If we hadn't given up the first three (and everything else was the same!), we'd be tied with Chelsea. I think, unfortunately, that Chelsea has a first rate team. Ironically, it's the one AVB wanted. Man City can finish ahead of them, but they need to get it in gear. I'm not convinced Man U has got the players to catch them.
I don't think we were lucky at all against Villa, we were definitely the best team. I bet we edged all the key stats, possession, shots on target, corners etc, as well as the crucial one. It didn't cross my mind at all after the game we were lucky, the best team won and deservedly so. EDIT - just checked the stats and they back my feeling completely how does anyone think we were lucky - i have to say it seems bizarre to me http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19776296 57% possession for us 23 shots to 8 for villa 10 on target to 5 for Villa 8 corners to 0 AS I thought, we were the best team and won deservedly. Oh and to complete the absolute clean sweep, Villa committed more fouls than us.
If Chelsea lose tomorrow they will have the same Set of result's as they had at the same stage last season under AVB!.
Good news: Spurs players won't be racially abused by John Terry this weekend Bad news: Spurs fans will be subjected to a whole songbook of anti-Semitic chants from Chelsea fans this weekend
Cheers Purley I don't know how how any objective analysis could fail to reach that conclusion. I think even reasonable Villa fans would concur that Spurs deserved their win.
"how does anyone think we were lucky - i have to say it seems bizarre to me" The power of suggestion. Someone said we were lucky in the last two, I assumed they had a point, and I immediately misremembered Villa for Norwich. I'm also capable of other stunning fates of mental malfunction. No, we absolutely were not lucky to beat Villa. We should have won by more. And I stand firmly by my revocation of my previous words.
Here's a tactical look at the game I make no comments as to its validity, but I think it's worth reading http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-spurs-need-to-win-the-box-to-beat-the-blues?
