Who is going to be the player to emerge in this period up till Christmas to drive the mighty r'ssssss on to bigger and better things. I believe it will be our resident mad Malian Diakite. From now on he is going to be immense. Any other suggestions?
Taarabt finally seems to be stepping up to the plate. Diakite looks to be back at square one for me although with a longer time to get used to being back I think he will get better and better. Mackie's been quiet so far so I reckon a super-sub performance from him is just around the corner. Hoilett and Taarabt for me though.
Dyer is a good call. He oozes quality from what I've seen of him so far. He could well be our Gerrard if he can stay fit.
I think it will be Granero and hopefully if Adel can keep his head straight he could also be the major difference. I would really love for Dyer to be healthy enough to be a regular as he can be outstanding when fit.
Virgin post... Love reading this - you boys/girls are quality.. On the thread, really nice to see more than one major choice coming up.. Granero, Adel, Dyer, Diakite etc. Shows the quality in depth we now have that it could divide opinion so.. There is also Nelson and M'bia... Stephane will come good, sit behind Diakite and Ale's 'silk and steel' in a 4-2-3-1... Partnering Samba when he gets here of course! Onwards and upwards... November to early December will be our time.. Six-pointers all round... U Rrrrrrrrrs....
Well, saying anyone but either Taarabt, Granero or Cesar is purely speculation at this moment. Those three have actually provided evidence that they may be a star player for the season or at least this half of the season.
Generally cant believe people saying Diakite, what are you seeing? If he's not suffering from 'personal problems' or 'depression' he's misplacing passes and getting sent off. What basis do you have to go off? Our man Adel will step up to the plate.
The thing is that Diakite is a game breaker he is able to surge past players opening up space for others. I saw enough of him last season to recognise how good he could be. To be honest none of us know its just a hunch.
The good thing about Diakite is that he completely surprises players because no one expects him to suddenly pick up the ball in our half and start running past central midfield opposition players. The bad thing about him is that he sometimes just doesn't THINK.
