Never heard of this Tindaloo, sounds a bit mental.

I've made a Korma from a really good cook book that I have and it was really nice. Thought it was for girls but theres some info about it in the book and it's a festival and wedding dish in India and everyone loves it.

Madhur Jaffrey Ultimate Curry Bible, well worth investing in.

Just made my first ever soup. Leek and Potato. Beautiful stuff. Kept it chunky as I prefer soup like that.

Letting the rest cool and its going in the freezer.

If any of it comes with tin foil then be sure to keep it. If things carry on as they are in Liverpool we are bound to have a shortage soon <ok>

Clearly not. I'd have said kitchen sink..

Not having one now. I've bought a supply of crap.. Have four films to watch.. Have Aberdeen Angus burgers, ciabatta buns iceberg lettuce and plastic cheese.. Also have a bag of mussels crusty bread, pan cakes crumpets, hot dogs, chicken drumsticks, and two Pinot noir's and a temperanillo ..

This will be consumed over two nights.

    Or split link.

    Fish pie for me.

Thought I had a Cidre left in the fridge but don't, gutted. Fortunately for me I've a box of Kronenburg and a box of Becks so I should be ok. Couple of nice chianti too but think that'll do for tomorrow when it's sirloin steaks with chunk chips and green pepper corn sauce.

    Lovely.

My steaks and chunky chips were lovely Saturday but sirloin is without doubt the worst cut of beef you can have as a steak.

The beef stock I used for the sauce was Oxo too, whch is too beefy for this type of cooking, oxo is good for making a hot beefy drink to warm the cockles of a winter evening, it's not great as actual stock, too dark. Knorr is better!

Better still, make your own but I don't get that option that often with beef.

On the packaging for the steaks was "defrost thoroughly before microwaving"

Who in the name of **** microwaves steaks?????

I don't mind sirloin.. Though I'd always rather have a good rump or rib eye.

Did a pork roast yesterday.. I'm always disappointed with pork..

I am the complete opposite, I ****ing love a pork dinner. It's up there with the greats.

In fact to be honest, only turkey ever lets me down, the rest are great.
We had shoulder of lamb and it was delicious. Notable was how buttery the swede was, marvelous. Shepherds pie with the remaining lamb for tea tonight.

The steaks were from lidl so cheap. The meat there is ok. Not brilliant but ok. Yesterdays veg also came from there and was top notch.

I don't do lidl anymore, just aldi. The meat in aldi is ok.. Had a couple of steaks from there. Never bought a beef or pork joint from there.

Maybe it is the cut of pork I buy always seem to have a shoulder.. I don't really eat lamb.. Don't like the thought of what I'm eating. I also ha a bad experience with lamb. Think the meat had gone off.. Was absolutely vile.

Bit misleading I think Lamb. It gives off this image of tiny little fluffy animals bouncing round a field whereas they're fairly big when they go to slaughter.
I know what you mean though, it's why I was vegetarian for ten years.

Before I became a cynical, emotionless hard nosed ****.

Love lamb but I always thought beef was my favourite roast. Truth is though, it's chicken. Unbeatable yet I will never order chicken when I go out.

Why the **** is that then?
