Just seen someone on CI saying Brucey wants him on loan.

Cant find it in the Telegraph, anyone??

 

No way, surely that can't happen - He's class and should easily be playing in the Premier League

 

Is he still at stoke, I've lost track of him but would be a very good signing IMO

 

Is he just out of favor at Stoke at the minute or injured, would be great signing but really can't see him coming here

 

Still at Stoke only made two sub appearances so far this season

Think he was struggling with a knee problem for a lot of last season, but at the moment he isn't playing because he's out of favour

 

Palacios has been battling injury and weight problems. Thats why he hasnt played much for Stoke

 

Didn't his brother get kidnapped or murdered, could be that his head isn't right anymore, still would be a good signing if it comes off.

 

If Stoke want to loan him out, I don't see why its such an impossible task to get him here

Having been with Bruce at Brum and Wigan I would have thought we would be in with a shout if the rumour is true. My concern would be that he has been out injured for a long time so may not be match fit. That being the case, would he get a game or would it just be a waste of wages?

 

When fit , he would be the first name on the teamsheet

I just fear that it would be like King last season - had been injured so wasn't match fit so barely got a look in until the very end of his loan spell

 

King was an unproven youngster, Palacios is a proven Premier League midfielder

 

I understand the point you make, but who would you drop for a player who hasn't played in about a year and is not match fit?

 

If we got Palacios, he'd play as soon as he was fit. There's plenty of room for him in a 3-5-2 and in a 4-4-2 he'd probably come in for Oli. He's a powerful holding midfielder with a bit of bite but can also drive the team forward. Could be exactly what we need, our own Yaya Toure...

I expect this is just the press looking at his previous ties with Bruce on a slow news day. Although, I thought the same with Aluko, so you never know.

Thats what Nigel Reo-Coker was hoping for also and look where he is now ? Short term loan maybe just possible ?

 

You say the same about Olofinjana, but he seems to have done enough to break back into the first team and I'd argue that WP is a much better player. Would be a bit of a coup if it came off.
