I don't know how many of you have seen this

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19842397

but Pompey (along with Bournemouth) have the most expensive pies in League One.

The cheapest day out [cheapest ticket + program + pie + tea] costs £28.50 at Fraton Park.

The division's most expensive 'cheapest day out' is £29.80 at Leyton Orient. The cheapest is £17.20 at Sheffield Utd, with the average at £25.84.

    Premier League:
    High - £49.60 - Chelsea
    Low - £23.00 - Newcastle
    Saints - £36.20
    Average - £36.57

Just been reading this - very interesting.

Funny how we fall into matchday habits - it's a cheese & bacon burger from Micks Burger Bar before the match and a cup of Bovril at half time. At Pompey they actually run out of beer at half time - shocking! <doh>

Usually eat a healthily sized meal before I leave my house and then booze up at Fratton.

I have a 2 - 3 hour drive to get there so the healthy** meal option isn't available - and the booze up isn't an option because of the driving.

No matter, I always see a draw or a win so come away happy. <ok>

EDIT: (in response to Hermanator's correction) - **healthy sized - or even healthy - but Micks burgers aren't exactly "un"healthy <whistle>

You are correct Hermy - there is a 'technical difference' between a healthy meal and a healthily sized meal ! <laugh>

You would think devo, that as Saints are "bulk buying" pies in vast quantities for the (alleged) consumption of a certain striker at St Marys, that they would willingly pass on their massive savings to their supporters <whistle>

And as Pompey are buying 14 pies per match, I think it justifies the extra 9.375% that Pompey fans have to pay for PFC to chuck into the bottomless pit.

Also noticed parity in the £2 per cup of tea stakes though by the time I'd scrolled down through the levels to find your price, my tea was cold.

    Cheers.:emoticon-0162-coffe
