What an absolute fud this guy is. Last statement of his, on Clyde "we could lose the TV deal." Yeah Daryl, Sky will walk away from a good sized audience in Scotland, risking a huge backlash with cancellations of full sky packages, phone, TV and broadband. The guy is getting desperate. Sky have said several times now as have ESPN, that they will maintain the TV deal with Scottish Football, but don't let facts get in the way of your pathetic bid to get TRFC short circuited into the SPL. So Daryl, absolutely nobody would be interested in taking up the deal? Why not ask Sky directly? Are you scared of the answer? Why did Doncaster or Lawell not say at the time of signing the new ,deal that it was only a one year deal? Why did the press report a five year deal at the time? Has Daryl heard something about the finances of TRFC that worries him very, very much? What is your motive Daryl in plugging this story? Why not ask Sky directly, others have and got the answer above... We have no intention of stopping the broadcast of Scottish football. All this **** stirring because HIS club are in the muck. We also have some accountant saying that no SPL club will make a profit. WHAT? With CL money and money from the sale of Ki? The scaremongering has started already. Didn't work last time. The fans saw through it. Clyde waited till the end if the programme to let Daryl make his ludicrous statement, because they knew it would be challenged. PATHETIC
Daryl thinks that because TRFC are not there sky will risk massive revenue loss in Scotland. He is an absolute fud.
I believe that the favoured response from a Scottish football finance scaremonger is " Aye....but naw.....but....."
Good let them walk away then we can sue for breach of contract. Plus get a new provider in, double our money.
It's simple Don't listen to Clyde They are deliberately controversial so they generate more calls Patch it
Darryl King may have a point. At the time the agreement was entered into it was generally felt that Sevco, through the ability of their first team players, and the regular assistance from the referees Sevco would be promoted. At this point in time that is far from certain, in fact Sevco were defeated by the worse team in Scotland in their last game. The worry is now that Sevco may be demoted from national league football for season 2013/2014. This would surely cause a problem with the TV broadcaster. So it appears the referees will have to be more pro-active to prevent disaster.
