http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=50121/profile/index.html funny how uefa think they are dead but the scottish media don't
Its a bit insane but that record front page more than makes up for the cracked crests. To me its very obvious what happened regarding this being a new club or not. When the cva was rejected that meant that rangers were liquidated and were no longer allowed to trade. This claim by Charles green that they transferred all the good bits over and left behind the bad is silly. Why wouldn't David Murray have done that then we he sold the club to Craig whyte? Just sell him the good parts and leave behind the tax bill. You can't do that the only way to avoid the tax case was to start again.
McCoist said: "I totally agree with it. We took counsel advice on it and the decision was made that we don't want to be seen to be participating in it at all. "The newco has got absolutely no reason to answer any claims from the SPL as we have effectively never been a member of it. http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=238317 lol ally mccoist admits they lost their history.
Of course they are Rangers and its so plain to see how much celtic are pissed off that they cant play them for a couple of seasons...All that revenue lost must hurt......and losing matches against lowly suppose inferior teams dont help....what a Micky mouse league the spl is...pffffft..
Lest we forget ... and we should never forget the dearly departed. Of course many would say that they never had a soul but if they did, I wonder where their '21 grams' went - any ideas?

The former Rangers Football Club is to be put into liquidation after creditors approved an end to the administration process which began on 14 February. Administrators Duff and Phelps will now apply to the Court of Session to have BDO appointed as liquidators. The club, which was formed in 1872, was placed in administration over over non-payment of tax totalling about £14m. HM Revenue and Customs blocked a CVA (creditors agreement) that would have allowed the old club to continue. Following this, Duff and Phelps oversaw a sale of assets to the Sevco consortium led by Charles Green for £5.5m. Name changeShareholders in the old Rangers subsequently gave their approval for Sevco to change its name to The Rangers Football Club Limited. The old club, which remained in administration, has since been known as RFC 2012. The new club, started by Mr Green's consortium, began life in the Scottish Third Division
Where I come from people always speak well of the dead. I cannot understand it down in the pub or on the street I have never heard a good word about the departed Rangers. The nearest to something nice was one man said " they hadn't died near soon enough."
i am a bit confused. rangers fans are telling us that they are the same team they have always been, yet i learn today that old rangers are to be liquidated. can a rangers fan please explain to me in simple terms why old rangers are different from new rangers. thanks in advance
Check Tuesday evening at 7.45pm and you'll see if Scottish football is dead ya donkey. Rfc are now deceased. Not our fault mate, but the fault of you and every rfc fan who could not stomach our winning the big one in 67. You set out on an ill fated Scott of the Antarcticesque pursuit of our magnificent achievement. ENVY IS A TERRIBLE THING.
