I see Le Tiss said the things that make Cortese 'not a very nice human being' , would not harm the club. So from that I take it that it's just personal, which makes it worse that he keeps on.
Far from a shock. Le Tiss will be pissed off about Cortese after the whole Pinnacle debacle, and then there's the alleged freebie gate. Basically, he thinks Cortese is a bit of an arsehole. Big deal.
You keep hearing things about Adkins and Cortese having a 'difficult relationship'...where do they get this stuff from. Repeat of gossip until it's the truth? Both NA and NC make no comment in public...best way in my view.
Not quite true Fran. Nigel has been questioned, during his pre-match interviews lately [probably today too] and he says he has a great working relationship with Cortese. Cortese does exactly what all chairmen should do. He stays in the background, unless it is to have a picture taken with some other chairman, or with paper plans in his hands realising another promise made good.
It makes you wonder why a guy who was running the finances of billionaires in Geneva would want to leave that, and run a football club for a bunch of ingrate fans?
I don't think that's true at all. I think Nigel is allowed to be his own manager. 99.9% of all the twaddle talk that gets around is because this stupid league has too much time between games, and this is just another subject to that end. The facts speak for themselves. As Saintdon13 has mentioned in post#87, why would Cortese bother himself if he hadn't the best of dreams for the club..? With his first managerial appointment he nearly got it right but, after a season, decided that Nigel was the right man. The stats prove he really couldn't have got it any better unless he'd enticed Ferguson away from ManU. Time for Saints fans to stop taking notice of all this tittle-tattle and start looking forward to the next game again.
Adkins isn't a yes man...he's good at man management and that can be as effective with your superiors in your job as with those that work for you.
He has moved lock stock and barrel to Hampshire, but he would be foolish to cut himself off from his previous life, he did say that if he was to go, he had already made plans for the future through his contacts, I do hope he sees his dream out, but if not I suspect he won't cast us aside. His respect for Markus would surely prevent that?
Didn't someone say a few weeks back that Nicola has been given more responsibility within the Leihberr empire? Read it somewhere.
Yeah, he's now overseeing the entire MArkus LIebherr Group empire. That's a lot of faith being placed. Just shows how good he is at his job.
I always wondered if he was popular with the other Leihberrs as he was with Markus...that answers it.
