But as for Sunday he'll get **** all support from us once he's in red and white![/QUOTE]

Once the game kicks off I would not expect that Danny would have any support from Newcastle fans, however before the game say when theteams are read out someshow of support from all at the ground would be reasonable. But as I have said once the game starts it will be the normal full blooded affair it should be. It is a chance to show the Serbs how you can support your team with out the need for racist abuse.

I think all fans in this country (or the vast majority with a brain) would condemn Serbia’s behaviour, it was disgraceful. Rose in particular got a massive amount of racist abuse throughout and it can’t be nice or easy to deal with. We should be past it by now.

However it is nothing to do with Sunday and I think it is unreasonable to expect our fans to show some sort of support on Sunday. Its not an issue for that environment and our attentions will be fully focused on the job in hand which is sizeable. Its just not realistic to expect our fans to give two hoots about this on Sunday. Most of us will not be thinking about anything else from now till next Sunday!

However I’m sure if Sunderland asked for some show of support at any other time, the club or fans would be more than happy to support them as it was a disgraceful situation. The reality is though its not really about showing support for Rose. Its about all the minority players round the world. It really is high time FIFA and UEFA show they actually give a **** about racism.

Just a heads up mate, it doesn't offend me, but a lot of people will be deeply offended by the use of the word "krauts". Especially in a post about racism <ok>

Was about to say what WP has said, I agree with the sentiments in this thread but I will give Rose not one jot of support on the day, he will be wearing the red and white not the England colours.

Why do you think you never see any England shirts in Newcastle? The bastards didn't even bother taking us being unable to wear anything red and white (because of our religion) into consideration. Its discrimination of the highest order on the part of the English FA.

They must be chavvy mags. Wearing football shirts to weddings is not a show of love for your club. Its a sign of a lack of respect for yourself!

Now now. I don't know you well enough to judge if you'd have friends who participate in this chavvy practice! And I know of a Mackem (not a friend I hasten to add) who wore his shirt instead of a shirt to his wedding. The whole day was Sunderland themed and the lass had the badge on the back of the dress. She didn't even like football supposedly. It was part of the agreement to get him to propose. That is a weak woman!

It is more common than you'd think Mush. I've seen Man City weddings dresses, suits with Cantonas number 7 on the back, Liverpool themed weddings and many more. Some folk know no bounds.

No mate, contrary to how I may come across at times on here, my mates are quite a dapper bunch when occasion calls!

What kind of moron would ruin their wedding day with tack, ridiculous man!

    This.

Ironic therefore that a 43 old man from Washington was arrested last night for posting racist abuse against Shola. Just goes to show that every club has it's idiots!! <doh>

So if we apply the same reasoning the mackems will be applauding Shola as a show of solidarity? I can't see it somehow. The derby is not the place for all this.
