After Alain prosts test in the Red Bull last weekend. His son Nicolas Prost will be testing the Lotus Renault at the Abu Dhabi young driver test next month. Hes not that young though is he?
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/f1-2012/honda-admits-renewed-f1-interest McLaren Honda? Would suit both teams, McLaren not needing/wanting to pay for their engines and Honda not wanting to go down the route of building the car.. Williams weren't too shabby with Honday power either!
I assumed that, if Honda come back, they may not just want to supply engines to other teams, but may look to being the official works supplier for a team like McLaren, given their history and the fact that McLaren will be a customer of Mercedes from 2014.. Would make sense for both parties, Honda don't come back with a full blown (more expensive) works team, and McLaren, with Honda as a partner, get a works team supply, save money on paying for engines which can be spent on Car Dev..
Vijay Mallya has had a warrant issued for his arrest by the Southern Indian town of Hyderabad. Prominent Force India sponsor Kingfisher, which is rumoured to have debts in the billions, sent cheques which bounced to Hyderabad airport. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/103355 Can't see them lasting much longer then.
I doubt the companies are connected apart from the sponsorship, will be interesting to see if he appears at the Indian GP. And people thatrich generally get away with it, take a look at the Maxwells, despite the Mirror pension fraud both brothers are doing exceptionally well, unlike their former employees.
Have a look at this. Pastor Maldonado driving the FW18 and Bruno Senna in the FW08 please log in to view this image
Haven't they seen what Maldonado does during demonstration days.... I do like the look of the FW18, looks sleek and racey.
BOTTAS also got a go in the FW08 while Sussie Wolff got a go in last years car. all here http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/10/17/susie-wolff-f1-debut-williams-event/
*sigh* Perhaps the first and only time a track has delayed itself of its own volition without Bernie's mind games. That does however remind me that I'd forgotten that Austin debuts this year. I've grown that jaded with all the new tracks joining the calendar.
So back to 19 for next year or is there a chance the French GP could return? Better still a double header at either Bahrain or Korea to make up for the loss of this race?
Continuing the theme of drivers in wrong era cars. Mario Andretti and Patrick Dempsey to drive the latest Lotus around the Circuit of the Americas
Not to disappoint you, but while I know of Robot Chicken I've never watched it. So any references were definitely unintentional.
