So, we play Spurs on Saturday at tin pot lane, what should the line up be?

    Here's mine:

    ---------------------------------Cech---------------------------------
    -Ivanovic--------------Cahill---------------Luiz-----------------A.Cole-
    ----------------------Ramires-------------Mikel------------------------
    ---------Oscar-------------------Mata-----------------Hazard---------
    --------------------------------Torres--------------------------------

Subs: Hilario, Azpilicueta, Bertrand, Lampard, V.Moses, Marin, Sturridge.

Though......Should Ramires play right wing with Lampard back in the pivot? I'm not sure I like the sound of that!

    What do you think?

I think that line up is a bit of a risk. As much as Oscar works hard closing down I think you could do with at least 1 of Bertrand and Ramires playing in the 3 behind the striker to give you more tracking back. If Cole has a tough match today, given his age, I'd be a bit wary of letting him up against an inform Lennon on his own and I wouldn't be suprised to see bertrand doubling up on that flank and Ramires helping out on the right whether it be coming from a deeper central position or on the right.

Out of interest, assuming Terry doesn't appeal is moving Ivanovic to centre back your backup option if Luiz or Cahill get injured?

That is a very good point! Bale & Lennon will be giving you plenty width which Ramires/Bertrand would help out the full backs a lot but it just makes our game not as smooth, I think we should go for it!

Yes, Ivanovic would be our next option in that case.

In my opinion it would go like this....Terry > Luiz > Cahill > Ivanovic.

Strange that you've left yourselves a little light in defence considering the strength of your squad in other positions. There's potential for a lot of mismatches if both teams go for it, Bale and Lennon on the wings, your front 3 against Sandro. I have a feeling it'll be a high scoring game even if both teams do make some allowance for eachothers strengths, there are too many great attacking players in the sides for it to be a dull 0-0.

I doubt both teams will go for it tbh. It's just any other game with not much riding on it for either side. Surprised Sky have put it on TV. I think it will be a tentative 0-0 in a dull cagey atmosphere with both teams being tired from the International break.

We're coming from opposite angles then. I think that the fact that there's not a huge amount riding on it will open things up a bit. It's the really important games for players that tend to be cagey. The game might need a goal to get going but if we get that early on I can see it being an open game.

Maybe. I think we'll rest players for United and you will for Southampton.

This isn't an important game for AVB or any of the Spurs players. Same with Chelsea and the Chelsea players so I doubt any risks will be taken.

    I think Joey's team looks perfect <ok>

Would it be better to play Azpilicueta ahead of Ivanovic given the pace that Bale possesses?

You can't expect Azpi to make his PL debut against the best natural left sided winger in the Prem. If Bale did get the better of him it would destroy him as a player and turn him into a scapegoat, with no doubt Lawro and Hansen highlighting his mistakes and calling him the worst right back in the country,
