Counting down to derby day got me thinking of our derby day hereo's.
I love Shearer, Shola, Nolan and so on, but I'n going for Chopra who couldn't bring himself to score against his old team in a derby.
He didn't shoot and decided to pass which he overhit.

Shola. But Chopra was also pretty heroic for what he did.

I'd have to go Shola. Emre gets a special mention for that free kick.

I know it's not happened yet, but, l would really really love to see Jonas score the winner in a Derby match. Just a little fantasy of mine lol.
All our guys will be heroes come the weekend, HTL.

Emre with the help of Shearer who raced in as if he was going to belt the ball but ran straight past it enabling Emre to take a peach of a kick into to corner of the net. The ball touching the paint on the goal post and the keepers finger tips on the way into the net.

Iv'e always followed Clarkie's career. SMB T Shirt was so funny but not for the Mackems.

Indeed it was great kidology from Shearer AB. No doubt their keeper was expecting a Shearer blockbuster.

Lets hope we can continue the trend of recent derbies. Of the last 15 we've won 8, drawn 6 and lost only 1. I must admit I think it'll be tight this year because of form. Neither is playing particularly well. I should feel more comfortable because we have a better first xi and a better squad all round. I just think they are pretty good at home and our form is a bit of a leveller.

Indeed. It was nice to see Saylor say just that in the SSN interview. The maturity is coming through too as he spoke of the need for cool heads. He just needs to somehow stay fit now!

Also, as long as Saylor isn't in a cast or a walking boot, we should be ok
