I thought he had some weeks ago - looking chunky around the arse. The fat so and so probably thinks he's making a point to Laudrup about fitness levels.

<laugh>..... Don't mince your words Ivor!..... Well that's it then, concentrating too much on his off field image, and not enough on being professional with his fitness, he's definitely carrying some extra pounds from what I could see tonight, man he's gone off the boil!.................<ok>

He's got a Molbyesque figure for sure. He's staying a Swansea player if he keeps up with these sort of performances and weight gain.
Do you think Laudrup will have watched any of the Wales matches keeping an eye on Williams and Davies ? Surely he must be thinking the same about Ash ?

Coleman says we played with heart.......where? we were controlled by croatia from start to finish and 2-0 was a let off, They should have scored 10 at least. If that is showing heart then im a Dutchman.....The players we had on show last night were the creme de la creme of welsh football and were well beaten.......same old story who ever the manager is i suppose.......The welsh players make headlines for their clubs but when it comes to playing for their country they look crap.....

Dragon- Im not near Zimmer age quite yet you cheeky barsteward!! <laugh>

Its a strange one really, i dont know if anybody listenend to Roy Keane on ITV last night but he made a cracking point about the England keeper which i think might be relevent to Ash. He was saying that Hart has been a little bit cocky lately as nobody has really pushed him for his position, while he still is a fantastic keeper he has let a few go in that maybe laast season he would have saved, went on to mention Schmeical had a similar problem and the players used to bring him down a peg or two if his ego started affecting his performance.

Now, i find alot of parallels in what roy was saying about those goalkeepers to how Ash is performing this season, nobody pushing him,bit of an ego, likes to think he is the daddy on field of play etc, etc.

Problem we have is that i dont really see many in our squad that can burst his ego, i know chico could probably just burst him full stop, but he is still learning the ropes.

I also put this scenerio down to micheal vorm as well, he could do with some applied pressure on him, there have been a couple he has let in where i have thought he wouldnt have done that last season <ok>

yes agree, There is no adequate competition for ash and it don't help that Coleman has picked him as captain either. Coleman as said he is backing ash and not blaming him for the bad back pass last night.....has Coleman not seen ash for Swansea recently! .....Ash is a good defender we all know that but ok he is nowhere near a world class player and when he is not at his best then he is terrible and lets the side down, I think its time he moved on in the real world and he would find he would be dropped like a shot playing like he has......this is not the ash i know thats for sure. he is having an easy ride at Swansea due to no competition....

we were missing key players again...... i dont care who the manager was we would still struggle.....

agree we got off lightly and bale apart showed zero attacking threat but think for a moment how say, england would do if we swapped groups with them....... they would drop lots of points in this group and we would IMO, stand a decent chance of fighting for 1st and 2nd in theirs..... the way i see it now is we must beat macedonia home and away and fight for 3rd place, as we are only one point behind serbia and macedonia......

'The welsh players make headlines for their clubs but when it comes to playing for their country they look crap.....'

bale and allen make headlines (possibly ledley in the 'SPL'), no other player in that team would make any headlines (apart from williams, for the wrong reason), even the championship lads in that team...

This is on the money, and why I lay the problems at Coleman and the crap FAW, It's all about selection, and form. The likes of Gunter, Vokes, and Church would struggle in the Welsh Premier League, and I kid you not!.......Vaughan Is the only average player that has really put in a decent shift these last few games for Wales. We are dependent on a strong defence more than most teams, and Ashley Williams has simply not been good enough, and I see Laudrup dropping him to the bench, unless he pulls his finger out, and time for Jazz to have a run out, surely he is good enough to play in this very average team!...............<ok>

swamp I think this is the easiest group we have had in decades and we still cant qualify.......we with scotland and N ireland are the 3rd or 4th division teams,ROI and England possibly 2nd division......This is shocking for British football ....
