Good comments from you two, I must say! Talking sense regarding all this nonsense printed in the gutter press, we have always run a tight ship, and always will, with the spectacular board we have here at Swansea City, we have arrived gents, and we are not about to throw that away, over some Prima Donna's, so here's to Laudrup taking us to the next level, up the Mighty Swans I say!..................... please log in to view this image
That is a nice take on things Stumpy and makes perfect sense really, ML doesnt become one of the greatest players ever if he hasnt got a tough mental attitude when needed! The comments you make echo what 99% of Jacks are thinking, we have acheived alot and nobody wants to see any discontentment from playing staff who earn more in a week than some earn in a year! there is a massive potential with Laudrup at the helm, i think most fans will gladly accept that he can sign the players to make a difference as our signings of JDG,Ki,Michu,Pablo,Chico and others have strengthend us in spite of us losing half our team from last season, this is no mean feat thats for sure!! The pleasing thing for me out of all this is that the fans are bang behind Laudrup first and formost, ive not heard a single fan question ML over this and that says alot IMO. The players know who is charge and they now know that the fans will not tolorate any big time charlie behaviour, that can only be a good thing! The Wigan game will be a Hell of a match, i feel that Wigan and Bobby will be getting the full wrath of the Jack faithful in supporting the boys and manager for 3pts, i used the term earlier "galvanising" and im hoping thats what this will do, for me the Swans have always been at their best when the chips are down, we have always had that extra bit of fight when everything seems to be against us, we should use all of that to our advantage. The fact that its wigan is perhaps irrelevent, the fact there are alot of pissed off jacks out there that want to show their support for the manger and team will be a real booster. Its going to be a super charged game i think, not for the faint hearted thats for sure! Wigan have a useful strikeforce Ash,chico, davies and rangel need to be on the money, if they do that i fancy us to give a good performance, its a chance to put all this behind us once and for all
I go along with that Dragon, everybody pulling in the same direction is what has seperated us from the rest, lets hope that continues !!
Yes and I agree with you too on Stumpy's post, it's how I see it, and how it should be, lets see how our next three games pan out, going to be an interesting season with the media gunning for us, love the way we always prove the Muppet's so wrong!..............
Now this is better some good health debate about The Swans. Some top posts there gents. The next three games won't define our season but will put it into perspective on where we may well be. The Wigan game is a big one, as we all feel that this ones should be three points, but they won't be a pushover, as you say Norway our defence needs to be on the ball as there not a bad side. I fancy us getting at least 4 points in the next three games, then to me another big game against The Saints where again we need to be looking to collect all three points. So onwards and up wards, Jack Army!!!!!!
I'd be wary of Southampton. They are a fit, high energy team, just the type that always and I mean always, gives us trouble. And add in Lambert who is a big, aggressive striker who's good in the air, they have the sort of player that historically we just can't seem to handle. I reckon he'll score against us, so we'll need at least two for a win. BIG banana skin in my opinion and I'll settle for a draw all day long. Now the good news. If our players hit their straps and start playing the way we know they can, it is a winnable game. We have the class and the quality but we have to show it - and for 90 minutes and not 45. Oh, and if Ash is detailed to mark Lambert we can forget it because he always struggles against that type of player. We need Chico to use his strength and physicality minus the kung-fu stuff to compete with him.
I concur Ivor, Southampton will be a tough test, there not bad at home. I don't see it as a must win game more of a not to lose game. I do hope we win as my life will be made hell by one of the lads in work.
another view on the so called revolt http://soccernet.espn.go.com/blog/_/name/swanseacity/id/182?cc=5739#
Bloggs are just the person who writes it View and nothing else. Its not fact or fiction just his point of view.....I never take any notice of anyone's blog whether they are good or bad.....The same as twitter....Its all hearsay and rumors ....
A very good read there, the guy talks plenty of sense,i think he has pretty much repeated an article printed on the esoccer page i think it was the premierleagueowl or something like that!! that article said pretty much the same thing. Best way to show it was all bollocks is for the players to go out and give wigan a good thumping!!
unless you can get the facts from the horses mouth then i take all blogs and tweets as hearsay and points of view...
Personally, I think it's a superb article, well written and incisively argued. It pretty much sums up what most of us feel about the situation.
thumping should be out of the question due to who is their boss, But a win is very important as i dont want to see a no win in another match....
We'll have to watch that dirty Diver Gomez! He'd love to get Wigan a penalty with one of his pirouettes!.................
Trouble with getting info from the horse's mouth is you end up being a bit of a naysayer. Cheer up mon Dai, why the long face?
Did anyone see Venus last night? Lovely clear sky..... Oh....Wait.....Were discussing the Swans.......Woohoo. At long last, we are rid of WUM's!! For now lol.
