Well according to a couple of Mackems on the Sunderland Not606 board, they'd prefer Cattermole to Tiote. I kid you not, they are deadly serious Further proof the village of the damned are beyond help.
Maybe we should consider throwing in Cabaye to avoid being gazumped by Man U or Chelsea. I know he has never been linked with a top side in all his time at Sunderland (unless you count Liverpool as still a top four side), but surely the likes of Chelsea and Man U are watching him closely ready to pounce. Maybe their watching of Tiote has just been a big ruse to put the likes of Real and Barca off the scent. I feel the offer of Cabaye, Tiote and 18m is a good deal for us as we’d be getting the best defensive midfielder in the league (possibly the world).
We've gotten this far by taking risks and relying on players that show promise. If Tiote can find consistency again then I will pray for forgiveness, but if not, we should consider selling him. What's the point of keeping him if he's out 10 games due to injuries, 5/6 games due to suspensions, and is a liability for a portion of the games he plays due to lack of match fitness?
I agree with Tash on this, If Cheick can rediscover his best form this season then great. However if come the end of the season he's been injured for a third of the season, and missed 4-6 games through suspension then the facts would be that Tiote would have had a distinctly average season two years on the bounce. If he then went on to have a third season similar to the above, then in all likelihood we'd be looking at 8-12 million for him instead of 18-22 million. I'm not saying we should sell him, I'm just saying another average season from him and I certainly wouldn't be opposed to selling him for big money. I'm also not writing him off as a player, with a run of games (injury free) I'm relatively confident he could rediscover his form and become an invaluable asset to the club once again, something that in my opinion he hasn't been for the last 6 - 9 months.
Listen Tash the Tiote, Cabaye partnership is one of the best in the league and when one is out we are ****e so we need both. FFS why sugest selling players that are good - sell the **** ones like Gosling etc maybe but wake up lad.
If we are **** when Tiote is out then how did we end up finishing 5th last season when he went to ACON for a month and was injured for a good 4-6 weeks on top of that? Please explain...
Just ignore him. He's whored rep on the rep brothel, which is why he's on such green rep. He just trolls and posts crap on these threads.
Its a fair question Tash but I think you'd be looking at selling him for the same reasons we sold Mo Sissoko. We got lucky as we got Masch and now Lucas but for a little while we missed him. He found his form again after a bit and we got a crap price. Granted, Tiote would command a much better fee, but the lad is a collosus, can't see him being effectively replaced.
Roflmao. Any sane person would agree Tiote is a much better all round footballer than Cattermole, and his reading of the game is superior. I also lol at the fact that they go on about Tiote falling down after Sess blatantly elbowed him, and they call him a cheater? How is it cheating to go down when elbowed in the face, and getting the player who deserves a red card, sent off? Also they claim Tiote is a puff and Cattermole is a REAL MAN. A real man that tries to break players legs, and puts in countless awful challenges simply to hurt players? WOW what a man! That's a real man right there! They also use the argument that because Tiote has received more cards in total, that he's a dirtier player. Tiote isn't really a dirty player, just not very disciplined. He goes in and makes silly trips when he doesn't need to. He's never really gone into a challenge with the intention of hurting anyone. If he does it's usually against Cattermole in the derbies, but he's never really sliced a player down, and has never really made potential leg breaking challenges. Tiote > Catts in every sense.
I can't really be bothered with discussing about the Mackems and what they think of Cattermole vs Tiote, however on Tiote.... I wonder about his mistakes of tripping opponents, whether it is something by design as a DM. Can you imagine the difference between a)going in for a challenge, enemy skips past you, starts an attacking move and threatens your back four , puts your team in a dangerous situation b)going in for a challenge, enemy skips past you, you trip him down , the enemy gets a free kick somewhere near the halfway line Point is, I sure don't know(neither do most of us I think) whether these were coaching instructions, and I'm talking just about the fouls that aren't crazy and insane like the stamp last game, just the normal fouls he commits when challenging. What results from the freekicks are mostly harmless and allows teams to get back into shape to defend, unless the team decides to launch a set play from that kind of region near the halfway line like us(AND CAN WE STOP THAT NONSENSE AS WELLointless setpieces to our *best* header of the ball Willo which always ends up in A.Willo missing the ball completely, result=goal kick B.Willo fouls his marker)
We did not do as well in those periods simple as that. we lost at Norwich and 5-2 at Fulham for a start.
**** off you little prick! I like negative rep! I've posted what I think is right and he disagrees (WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY GOING TO HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME )as for posting crap you should take a look at yours ha ha mr knows who should start and talks like he isn't just a little guitar playing punk that needs to brush his teeth more often. In short keep your trap shut when I'm debating with others as you just **** stir and play an audience. Otherwise just ****ing DIE
Any more comments like the above one and you're going for a holiday Privateandrewmalone, we'll have none of that rubbish on the board if you don't mind!
Ok I'll miss out the swear words, however he needs to learn to keep his trap shut as it's like tempting a serial killer with a bone.
