We're ruled by TWO parties we didn't vote for just now. Scotland has long had a four party system - i.e proper democracy British democracy is a perennial ding dong between two main players. The larger a country is, the less democratic it is.

Agreed. Look at the seats in parliament over the last 10 general elections Labour would never get into power based on the English vote alone. I am more Tory than Labour but understand the need for alternative policies to level things out. As long as the invaders to either country aren't European or members of NATO, we'll be alright. If they're members of NATO or the EU, then we'd be at war with all of either entity. The only exception to this in recent years was Iraq - unless we ideologically oppose the Yanks or the Chinese, this won't happen (it won't happen anyway).
The Tories stand and the Lib Dems and Labour have tie ins with the Alliance and the SDLP. If Scotland vote to leave the Union will change.
