I think you should all go back and read John Henry's vision about the future of Anfield. He makes it clear that a full corporate development is not where they are thinking of going.
look he's made an announcement with the council etc but they can't say capacity, timing, cost or much of anything. I mean lets actually get real here. the wbesite calls it a plan. THIS IS NOT A PLAN.... if i'm kind i'd call it a strategy or pershaps a vision in corporate terms but its not a plan, theres not even a schedule of key milestones! Ayre has to say what he's saying but we need detail here. henry said there'd be no promises etc etc... that type of thing. now we've not a "decision" to redevelop anfield but no firm data. 60k seems to me form reading ayre line for line to be pulled form the sky by other media reporters, in fact we have no idea what that number will be. there is no timeline, there is no planning permission there is no buy outs yet... so why on earth do we beleive the other aspirational reporting that work would start in 2014. All I want is the actual "plan" to hold FSG to account on. all i have is a "vision", perhaps a "strategy", perhaps not. finally... CEO... transfers, etc etc. FSG have for the two full years in charge wandered about either "learning and figuring things out" or "flip flopping and penny pinching" depending on your views. I would justlike a clear plan for the future, not aspirational figures and talk of we want to win then ending up with no forwards when suarez gets his next booking! the thinkg needs to start adding up form all sides and i get the feeling this is rushed out to placate people really. it seems half baked but i could be wrong it could have been required to rated the purchasing of propertys legally.
If only it was that straight forward. The expansion is rumoured to be around £150m. The increase is unknown but I think 15,000 would be a safe bet. Corporate boxes will be involved and there is also funding through local schemes too so not all the £150m will be met be the club.
MITO, think before you post. What is the point of publicising plans that have not been approved by the Council, that may require amendment for legal or technical reasons and could influence the reactions of the 'locals' let alone the people who may need to be re-housed. To get to this stage LFC will already have their proposals at far more than an outline stage. YOU may WANT what you call a plan but life just does not always work the way that YOU want, at the time that YOU want it!
