Hey Peeps, So, Poleon and Thompson have joined up with Blackwell, who managed us between 2004 and 2006 and has recently taken over at Gigg Lane and it appears that all is good nowadays between Warnock and his former Assistant who famously fell out in 2003 when Blackwell quit Bramall Lane to initially take up the hot seat at ER. Does anyone else agree that this must be a good thing, and suggests a forward is on his way? Sheffield Wednesday are expecting their biggest gate of the season on Friday, when Leeds come to Town. The match is being shown live on Sky Sports 1, but are expecting in excess of 27,000. Meanwhile, Eddie Gray has come out and said that Wednesday are 'average'..... Agree? Austin is struggling with an injury, should we rest him now that Green and Norris are back or should we not tinker with a side that is playing well at the moment?
Just got thinking about some of the posters that do not post here anymore and why? For instance, we have not seen strachallister for a while?
Morning all. I reckon the 2 kids will be guaranteed some game time, so that when they return they are match fit and able to go straight into the squad if needed. I hope that we do have some new faces on route to ER, as the squad is thin, especially if our battering ram is not 100%. Glad to see most of the injuries have cleared up and Ross should be back soon too, but Somma is a huge worry still. Will he get back before Xmas, or will his career with us be over. Been a while since we played the wendies and it should be good, but I expect a tough test, because Jones started well, but his side have struggled of late. He'll have them pumped up for this one, especially as its on the box, so 3-points here will be great. Traffic will be crap on the M1 Friday night so leave early guys if you're going
Morning elland After all the talk NW has made about the size of his squad gotta think he has someone coming in this week. I think Wednesday are average and didn't think they would be challengers this season but they will probably raise their game on Friday. Lets hope NW has our lads up for it. Austin appears to be carrying a knock according to reports so i would give the guy a rest.
I went to Peterborough with Benlovesleeds tried getting him to come back on but he hasn't yet, malv Spanish all missing
Morning everyone, been busy recently so not had time to post. Looking forward to Wednesday, fully expect 3 points
Morning all. MiAs probably due to too much boring stuff regarding the T/O & lots of he said/she said. Heyho, so we can look forward to 5k plus of our fans travelling down the road. Should be a good game, & probably not the walkover that Wednesday's league position suggests it could be. I think we'll win & I hope we get Hall in to provide some much needed width. 3-1 with plenty of singing. "We glow in the dark, we glow in the dark, we're Leeds United, we glow in the dark"!!!!
Oh god, I hope not. Glorifying that abortion of a so-called football kit should be a capital offence.
Might help our team to see each other a bit better, which is no bad thing given our recent record of night games. Any excuse for a singalong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morning All Have we finalized the Hall deal yet? I've not really had access to the internet so I'm lagging a bit. NW must have players coming in especially a striker as he's let Poleon go out on loan. This could be an intresting few days
Morning Doc, Somma has been out for so long, it just makes you think.... Will he ever be the same player again?
Morning thombob, Agree, we should rest Austin, let Green back in. Don't think Friday will be easy, but can only see a Leeds win
Morning, Thompson has just signed a new 3 year deal, so it must development opertunity. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19802213
Elland not sure about Somma now, as he wasn't the finished article and was still learning. he did however have something about him and made us think he had potential to be the real deal in the future. the injury was bad and he's now been out of action for so long, that he may struggle to get anywhere near where he was. Where he was is maybe not quite good enough for us this season, so he may have to go. I'm hoping he comes back sharp and on fire trying to reignite his career, but not sure NW has the time to wait for him. If he does come back sharp he could save the club a lot of cash in buying a new striker in january
