Yeah, Senna has obtained some much needed consistancy while Maldo constantly throws away points. Problem is he isn't really ever looking in contention for more than 9th. Thats why he still trails Maldonado. A bit more one lap pace would do wonders.

Very happy for him but he'll need to build on this to retain his seat or get a decent one elsewhere. The stats you cite belie the number of times he gets caught in an incident at the start for qualifying too far back then bogged down in the mid-teens for the rest of the race. Fingers crossed he can do it.

A better performance from Senna but really the only thing he should be celebrating is that he's managing to stay out of trouble more than his hot-headed team mate. Despite a catalogue of errors, there can be little doubt about the quicker of the two. On a clear track, Maldonado is a pretty tidy driver but Senna is still untidy unless he goes slowly.

I think Bruno deserves a place in F1 -people are too harsh on him...if only his qualy wasn't letting him down everytime...

The question remains whether his poor qualifying pace is a problem with set-up (remembering that he sits out FP1 at almost every race) or simply an inherent inability to hook it up for one hot lap.

I'll be honest I like Senna, I think he's got a good consistent race pace, but I don't see him setting the world on fire especially.

If one compares Bruno's moving into the Lotus seat mid-season last year to D'Ambrosio's today, Senna did it much better.

I was thinking of that everytime they cut to Jerome. He was shocking considering his car.

unluckiest driver on the grid to be fair, lost out on the Brawn to Barricello after Honda pulled out, got dumped in the original (and worst) HRT, got 8 drives in the renault after it had become a dog and the team had given up on it, and lost at least 1/3rd of practice time every GP.

So dissapointed with his season. I'm just dismayed by how slow he's looked. He can't seem to match even his own performances from last season in a better car with more track time. What happened to the guy sticking his terrible Renault into Q3?

He's a much more safe pair of hands, but the flashed of potential (barring Hungary) have just dried up.

It saddens me because i am a fan, but i'm struggling to see a place for him on next years grid.

I agree :/ But here's to hoping he'll impress again before the season ends :) And he might just have success out of Formula 1 if he leaves at the end of this year :)

I'd happily see quite a few drivers be replaced, I don't think he's in the worst 5.

Name association, we (me) were all fans of his uncle, the romantics (me) wanted that name, when it returned to do well, however, he was never gonna live up to his great uncle, but we all knew that, just wanted him to do well, at times he’s done that but at times he’s fell short of his own standards let alone his uncle’s, no sentiment in F1 and regardless of your name, poor results equals no F1 drive!

Hope he comes good for the remainder of the season and can save his F1 career, be it at Williams (doubt it) or elsewhere on the grid (other than HRT)

He's like a cross between Kobayashi and Massa in that the potential is very clearly there but goes missing far too often, he picks up good points when the car's good, but when it's bad, he really, really struggles.

I always thought he was a stop-gap for Bottas, though.
