If he didn't dive, people wouldn't talk about it. I wish every cheat got this much attention - it'd make them think twice about doing it.

We should be talking about all cheats (not just divers) equally. Luis Suarez dives but he's not the anti-christ.

I agree entirely. I hope this spreads from Suarez to Young to others :) I'm glad it's starting with Suarez, as he's one of the worst, and deserves all of the negative attention this brings him. He must learn that until he stops cheating, he won't be awarded penalties. Unfortunately, he seems to think people are trying to make a name for themselves because he's famous, and seems to be refusing to change. Sadly, he's more famous for cheating than scoring goals.

Undoubtedly. Suarez should counteract it by not diving ever again.

The magazine asked him a question and he answered it. Please stop with the witch hunt conspiracies.

Suarez does dive and he cheats. Is he the only one? No but he definitely is the most consistent. I would like the media to highlight the 'British' players' diving antics more often however.

The problem with Suarez, from his time at Liverpool, isn't constant diving; it's constant theatrics. He very rarely entirely simulates contact (ala Bale, Gilardino, Rivaldo etc) but he will drop and do 5 rolls down the pitch.

Even against Stoke - he was kicked, he stayed up, THEN he did the ridiculous dive. He doesn't do it every week, which some people seem to think. He'll roll about every week, but he doesn't 'dive' every week.

Bit rich of Koscielny - I imagine he thinks it's okay to criticise Suarez because of the current climate around him. No criticism of Drogba - but I've never seen Suarez act as embarrassingly as Drogba did vs Barca last year.

A bit unnecessary from Kos I have to say.. no need for him to wade into this.

I think his statements have been taken slightly out of context, or at least the emphasis has been missed.

He was asked, who was the most difficult player to play against, and his reply was "almost" a complement in that he was saying that Suarez is the hardest because he plays for the foul. His "cheating" comment was about the bumps and knocks he handed out, not over the diving.

    Slow news day.

Good on Kos, that's what I say. There's no denying it: Suarez is a cynical diving cheat. He is constantly going to ground at the slightest contact and seems to have absolutely no shame in doing it. He's one of those classless players who doesn't care how he wins (not that Loserpool do much winning these days, lol) and it's players like him that are damaging the game. Just saying "he's not the only one" is no defence, it's despicable whoever does it and Suarez is the worst offender by a country mile, he does it so often it can be described as "part of his game". Let him take his medicine, well deserved.

Ashley Young and Gareth Bale are just as bad regarding diving, but Suarez also adds those shirt pulls and other cheating tactics to unsettle and provoke defenders.
Also all that crap like waving the imagenary card etc.

That's why it's no surprise to read that Koscielny would like to kick him.
I'm sure there are many others who would love to do that...

The thing I do not get with Suarez is, why does he carry on diving when he is so rubbish at it? I mean that attempted dive against Stoke was one of the worst I have ever seen.

Whats the difference between Luis Suarez and Felix Baumgartner?

ONe of them is a world class diver and the other fell from the edge of space.

(Go on, give a better punchline)
