Never turn down the chance to back a winner George! Tbh I wouldn't go if I had a free ticket..whats the long range weather forecast?
3.35 Windsor Kings N' Dreams 50/1 This is very much a risky bet but I think Dean Ivory's charge is worth a small play at the odds if his trainer has gotten him right after a 95 day absence from the track. Although not at his best this year, he's on a good mark and has put up some encouraging efforts including at the track and on this ground and I definitely feel he is capable off his current mark of 64 (65 today as 1lb out of handicap). Last year he scored in two consecutive starts in the summer off marks of 64 and 69 (good ground) and had some other good starts littered throughout the year. This year he hasn't been at his best but his handicap mark has slid as a result from an opening of 72 back down to his current mark. He did however run a very eye catching fast finishing 4th on soft ground back in May off a mark of 70 when he took an age to get going but he powered on extremely well to finish beaten 2.75L in what looks a very strong piece of form. The winner Highland Colori has won 3 times since and finished beaten by a short head in the Ayr Silver Gold Cup and is now 20lb higher rated. The 2nd Midnight Rider has won off a 5lb higher mark than that day and is now 10lb higher rated and the 5th Picabo has not run a bad race since, winning twice and is 18lb higher than this race. On the basis of this effort, where Kings N' Dreams was finishing better than anything, it certainly showed me he still retained his ability and he liked both testing conditions and the unique Windsor track. He's been moderate since then but if the break has rejuvenated him then I think he could run a good race off bottom weight under William Carson.
Afternoon all - week off work so stuck in front of ATR so seen if any winners can be picked out today. Seen the decs / forecast for Saturday - anyone worried about Frankel getting turned over in the conditions that are likely ?? I see his little half brother Morpheus is out on Wed at Notts in the race won by Wrotham Heath last year - who has been a tad disappointing to say the least. Probably need the run I would have thought ??
anyone else excited about the upcoming jumps seasosn.whats the consensus on the forum,I think the jumps brigade is slightly bigger.the lead up to chelts really gets this place ticking!
Oratorian been backed into 8s, put up at 20s earlier, but so did the balding horse and that finished last!!
Keeping my eye on this Neds Indian in the 3.20 Roscommon!! Stinks of a future stroke. Bred to be a 1m/10f horse, ran it over 12f and 14f absolutely tailed off, dropping back to 10f today ive had a couple of quid on for a laugh but be interesting to see what it does today, wether they are up to something or wether its a complete cart horse, gets a mark after this so im expecting another beaten 30 lengths but I will be looking for promise!! I have seen the ability in this horses eyes, and I WILL make it pay.
Whats the chance of a four-timer for Hughes next up... On the fav with Magic Secret, so must have a chance...
scattered showers, 30% chance of rain. Not bothered about the weather, it's the crowds that piss me off. My wallet will be bled dry by then with the copious losers and overpriced beer.
Not that i am trying to jinx him as he has had a great day already but his next 3 rides all have a chance... 4.10 - Links Drive Lady, 10/3... 4.40 - Then Ever Fortune, 3/1... 5.10 - Duke Of Clarence, 13/8... I can see him getting at least one of these home again...!!! jinx, jinx, jinx...
