Thats mental, You're mental. 1300 hunner for a laptop? I could build a PC that would rape any Apple product with that money.
**** knows then if viruses bother you that much get one. If not save some money buy a PC and get some decent anti virus (don't buy it for **** sake)
So, what's the best anti virus torrent you can get? I had avast but my machine was still showing signs of infection, so I just downloaded AVG 30 day trial and it found 4 infections. I should stop downloading the porn torrents but I just love watching girls getting ****ed
Get yourself ESET. http://tpb.pirateparty.org.uk/torrent/5148804/ESET_NOD32_Anti-Virus_4.0.468.0-For_Life I never manage to pick up any viruses with it because it just blocks them all the time.
Pikey Chav in Kingston just picked up the demo i-phone in the Apple Store and started making calls. Even when the sales bint went up to him to tell him to stop he did the universal "hold on love, I'm busy" gesture and carried on chatting. It was all "Yeah bruv, yeah. Kingston innit. Yeah, nah. Nah, yeah, Kingston innit. Nah, Kingston, ya get me? Innit doh? Nattameeen! True. Yeah, Kingston, nah. Yeah, later." Then more or less tossed the phone at the sales bint. I hate Chavs
What's the Operating System? Every now and again you should run MSCONFIG.exe from the start menu and disable all the bullshit 'Startup' and 'Services' in there which should make your computer run much faster. A good starting point is disabling everything that isn't Microsoft or from your PC Manufacturer (sort the 'Manufacturer' column) AVG free does the same as expensive Anti-Virus programs such as Norton, I wouldn't bother with them.
Make sure you know what you're closing though many files are windows files and don't appear as such. AVG is ****.
I have NOD32 for viruses. Never had any problems. Laptop is slow as **** these days though. Looking for a new one myself.
I reckon Microsoft sells about 20% more copies of Windows than it should do because people assume their computer is old and that's why it's running slow - rather than it's got too much ****e running on Start Up. There is a risk of disabling something important, but once you realise that thing isn't working you can try find it and turn it back on again (which reminds me, don't disable 'Intel' things either). I certainly think the risk of completely fixing your ****ey slow computer in 5 minutes is worth the risk of turning off yer network card for a few mins.
The thing about anti-virus is that it's a stable door after horse has bolted kind of thing, and many of the paid for products are highly obtrusive and frankly ****e. AVG Free is pretty good at what it does, but I've switched to Microsoft Security Essentials on the laptops which has been great and is so unobtrusive you forget it's there. My main development PC is completely unprotected (apart from a hardware firewall) but then I only browse to websites I know and trust on it. I use the lappies when doing general browsing around the web. Periodically, I do a quick visual scan of the running processes to look for anything potentially untoward. Been well over a decade since I've been infected with anything. Almost all of the **** that infects Windows you asked for. You did it. Which is why kids especially seem to **** up their computers because they don't really give a damn what they're doing out on the Internet. Flashy, free, flashy, bling, bling, download. Walloped.
See my post Trev about disabling ****e from MSCONFIG.exe - computers don't get old and run slower, they have too much crap starting up. It's an easy fix.
Which reminds me. EDGE get a hold of a registry cleaning program should help speed your pc up a bit by deleting all the useless registry files. http://tpb.pirateparty.org.uk/torre...echanic_v_11.1.0.214_Multilingual_Incl_Keygen
Most paid for Virus Scans are worse than most Viruses. ****ing Norton hogging 50% of your CPU every day trying to find something that is not there, or not letting you open an email from yer pal because it might be Phising - **** off and leave me alone you intrusive **** of a program
So, services, you should disable all programmes except Microsoft, Intel and your manufacturers, then in Start up, do the same?
