..and there he was, touted as potentially the next young British manager with a big future. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19927379 He never really looked like turning Burnley round again and I am not so sure they will make it back to the PL for some considerable time, as much as they and the fans think they will return quite soon.
I wonder if their fans will be calling for the return of Owen Coyle now that he's a free agent! It's amazing how a former successful manager returns with none of the former rewards! Mike Walker for example!
eddie howe's move is because of non-footballing issues and the reasons are not fit to be discussed on a forum. in other news, i see the binners have signed nigel ego-coker... they really are on a mission to self-destruct aren't they
yeah, thai, i wasn't suggesting a thread shouldn't be started, just pointing out that his reason for leaving wasn't a footballing reason, in case anyone was wondering why leave burnley for bournemouth. i didn't phrase it very well!
It does make me wonder though if this is the beginning of the end of his career as a football manager. If he does well enough at B&BAFC then obviously they will be happy to keep him and he will be happy to stay but if he doesn't do well enough...........??
I think it could be a good thing that he has gone back. It is conceiveable that somene can be happier working in the lower leagues, it gives me hope that it's always about the money and that even though there are more issues he is happier at Bournemouth. Good luck to him and I hope it works out. He seems like a decent bloke and I wish him well.
Sorry Supers. That just is not fair. You can't come onto a forum and just say "hmm" without adding to it. You're a big tease <sniffsformoreinfo emoticon>
