Second half performance against Reading as not one of an unhappy team, or at least those players on the pitch. What and where had you heard about a bust up?
Daiswan knows everything Neathjack, ask him if its true . There was a story going around, personally i dont beleive a word of it, its just the rumour mill going into overdrive ! if there was a bust up then at least that means the players care enough and actually its not that uncommon in a team sport,it clears the air and people then move on, i specifically asked this question to Daiswan as he professes to know the inside info
Rodgers wont be sacked at all. He is turning liverpool into a good team and their passing is showing good signs that they were giving it the thumbs up on talksport only recently...Don't you worry Brendan knows what he is doing and it wont happen over night. the liverpool owners are pleased with the progress so that's all that matters.....you can bet that ash is on the phone to Brendan explaining his actions and it wont matter how ash plays for us for the rest of the season he will still be wanted by Brendan.....The club should accept the fact that the longer we keep him the worse it could be for us, Give me a player that wants to play for us any day...ash is a good player but his heart is not in it with his dispute he has with the club....So let him go in january and buy 2 or even 3 quality defenders then...
If Ash wants a move then he needs to earn it,just like Joe Allen did! so far his performances have not been great,i forgive him this though as he has been mr consistant more or less since he arrived here from Stockport(not sure how many players go from released by pro club to non league to lower league to top 6 prem player) his journey would be one of the greatest success stories if he signs a big move from us to a top top club, personally i think he has flaws in his game (much like Vorm) that will mean the big boys wont go for him,his size is another problem, he is no cannervaro who was amazing for his size of 5ft9" ash also seems to have the odd concentration issue(which has got much better) and i always feel he lacks a bit of aggresion while defending set piece play. It would be a gamble for a club, not money wise but playing wise, if he feels he is better than swansea when 3 seasons ago he was playing for stockport then good for him but first and formost he needs to start pulling out a few man of the match performances and start proving his first season wasnt a flash in the pan, which right now thats exactly what its looking like(even considering the new playing personell)
Dai, i can totally buy what your saying there, makes good sense and personally i dont think your wide of the mark, but what do you know about the locked dressing room door after the reading game and the bust up/scrap the players had ??
first time i have heard anything about it and i find that strange,,,,,Nobody i know has any knowledge of any incident, so i cant really comment...
Then i tend to think its a load of Bollocks, there has been an outpouring of negative press this week, the Mirror today were also at it, strange how they never bothered with the players statement or club statement as well, with that there have been quite a few other stories ive heard and they sound like bollocks to me too!! Things are going well at the club and thats the most important thing, as i said earlier sometimes its good to have a sort our and clear the air, hopefully everyone moves in the right direction and some find a new home in January
To be honest, not heard anything about that one Norway! chinese whispers maybe....................... Some more Chinese Whispers! Link: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/michael-laudrup-meets-with-swansea-chief-1377220
Maybe all these rumours of unrest are to do with Laudrup's bold decisions early season, of edging out the old guard and bringing in new players! Anyway I'm backing the manager, Laudrup has been places these turnips can only dream of! Stuff player power....
I agree 100% Dragon, Laudrup has indeed done things our lot will never ever do! and that deserves a bit of respect, he certainly seems to get it everywhere else! the scandinavian nature is another factor IMO, in buisness you dont get screamers and aggresive types, everyything is calm and collected and plain and simple, there isnt a warmth like we have in Wales, its always one of the first things i notice when i come back, how much nicer and polite people are in general life, shops etc, etc. The fans will sooner be behind Laudrup than the senior pro's and i think the senior pro's may have misread how little support they would have for this type of thing as most i know just want the ****ers removed from the club since they heard about it!!
Me too Norway, not bothered these days with the coming and going of players, we have grown well these last few years, and now have a brand new Academy status, and top manager, so the players can lump it, or clear off out, plenty more where they came from, the club must come first!..........
Im happy with things as far as laudrup goes but when the players hear the laudrup out chants like they did at the last away match then that must get to them a bit, and when they are backing ash at the moment that cant help the situation.....Like i have said in previous threads that Laudrup is the boss and what he says goes and any grievances with the club for what ever reason should be dealt with internally and not publicly and not brought to the pitch. as it happens its only a few old hands and lets be fair the new guys are doing great and what these old hands like ash,Danny, monk and Tate can be replaced and should be if they dont get their act together and start doing the job they are paid for. we know they are better than they are showing at the moment so i hope they do their job to the best of their ability.....I am in agreement that the club should not put any agreement in place that could stop a player from a lucrative deal but im not with them when they make things public and stop performing the best they can.......I am all for players rights 100% but im not for taking it on to the pitch on match days....
We will bounce back from this, we always have, and we always will, players come and go, but we the fans remain the one constant!.............
What laudrup out chants? I hear more dalgleish chants dai ! There are a lot of threads you need to reply to dai !
Norway / Dai, thanks for the commentary, enjoyed reading. Dai - you mentioned DG has one of the seniors with a problem. I hope we give Moore a chance to prove himself in ML's new system.
DG is a good player for us, he likes the ball played in front of him IMO and at the moment we are tending to play more through the middle, this is where Luke Moore has the edge on DG, Luke needs to make the most of his chances though and as we have seen with Wayne Routledge, if you play wellyou stay in the team, unlike Brendens favourites who would play irrelelvent of how well others did!! Laudrup has said from day 1 its about having more than one way of playing a plan A,B,C and D is needed, DG is perfect for other ways of playing,i see laudrup has implimented a slightly different method of playing recently, thats only because we have already proved we have plan A!! the other plans have not been developed yet and this is what will take time. No point in being a one trick pony in this league! we know it,Laudrup knows it, unfortunatly the players dont.. Our results at the tail end of last season were actually very poor, not sure if its because teams figured us out, players knew Brenden was going or that they felt the job was done so kicked back, either way we needed to expand on what we had last year! it doesnt mean we throw what we learned away,it just means there will be games where we need to try something different. Moving the ball faster and moving our players around the field will take time but remember how tedious it sometimes got with us going from side to side on the pitch with the opposition having 11 behind the ball waiting for us to finally give it backby a poor cross to 1 centre forward who was marked by 2 centre halfs!! its not rocket science at all really, DG has a massive part to play for us and im sure he will get goals, there will be a time though when Michu will be up top with De Guzmen in the hole and both Moore and Danny will be on the Bench, its called having options which was something we really lacked at times last season
Still stuck in that rut Dai. I see everything negative about Swansea City AFC remains appealing to you. Do continue though Dai, you make me laugh the most, you naughty boy. All we've come through the last ten years, all we've achieved in that time makes us absolutely unique, a jewel in the premiership crown, a totally class act. I am so proud of my Swans and our under the radar achievements Dai that I fail to comprehend your continuous negativity and bickering attitude towards everything Swansea City AFC. Please help me understand, tell all Jacks why you never, ever written a positive syllable about our Mighty Swans. They do deserve a lot more than your constant negativity Dai, they have actually earned it over the years. Anyhoo Dai, here's to the Swans and our glowing future, with many many years in the premiership This is what I found out about the weekend Norway, to be added to yours. ML called boys to training on Sunday and Monday, after the disappointing, to say the least, draw with Reading. Normally after a Saturday game these are rest days with no training. He did this because the squad would be away the following week on international duties and breaks. ML, being a superb manager, wanted to address the issues that we have. ML can be as tough and ruthless if he needs to be. He has a 'Mr Nice guy' image but, he demands and expects and he is ruthless enough to achieve in the premiership. New signings owe him, regulars and seniors want to impress him and ALL of our players are happy to play for him. Ultimately, he is responsible for any failures or successes we have, he is well aware of this and he doesn't suffer kids in the locker room. As Norway said, its all about looking forward. We can change the result of the next game, but not the last.
