Do you believe the reason for invading Afghanistan was anything to do with gaining certain rights for women and others?
The attack on Malala Yousafzai, who became famous for highlighting Taliban atrocities, happened as she sat in a bus preparing to leave the school grounds in Mingora, the main city in the Swat valley which was the scene of intense fighting between the army and the Taliban in 2009. At least one other girl was also hurt in the attack on Tuesday that a Taliban spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan, quickly claimed the group was responsible for. He said the teenager's work had been an "obscenity" that needed to be stopped: "This was a new chapter of obscenity, and we have to finish this chapter." The sort of ideology we are up against, how do you deal with that or worse, ignore it?
You also have to look at the "justice" dished out by those who Keyring idolises. No judicial system involved, all that counts is the word of someone on his estate and a lad is taken behind some lock-up and has his kneecaps blown out
You never answered ST's question so why should I answer yours first? For what it's worth it was not the primary reason but it was one of the reasons, the main reason they invaded was because they refused to hand over a "Guest". Not the people, the Government, the people had no say in the matter, especially the women, so if they are not to blame why are the men and women fighting their to blame for doing their jobs? They are'nt, and whilst I don't mind their alleged crimes being flagged up and dealt with as appropriate, no one seems to care that the man behind 9/11 was being protected by this bunch of religious nutters. I don't see what option Nato had in all honesty and I would love someone to tell me we what should have been done. 1: Invasion 2: Political leverage being applied 3: Leave them alone These are the only options, so which is it?
doubt it, you keep telling us you have not much longer. Top yourself and then your infantile paranoid views on the world will disappear.
Are these the same Taliban that exist because America decided to arm a bunch of jihadists, like they are doing in Syria now, to try and get the Soviets sucked into their own Vietnam?
"In fact it is many times more important to them that they are not British rather than Irish. I have come across this only once before: when meeting Canadians. Canadians are proud of not being American; something that the vast majority of people in the world can claim." He's never met any New Zealanders then -if you call them Aussies they want to kill you!
Or ask a bloke which part of Germany he comes from only to find out he's Dutch. I've never seen someone so offended.
I noticed that after I'd posted the quote. People will now think I'm a right **** - though not without some justification
