Prediction Poll - SAFC v NUFC

Realist here- I think we are looking at a potential defeat for this one. Depends which side AP puts out and his strategy, but just not filled confidence.

 

Kind of depends on who we've got fit too. It's going to be a hard game with no quarter given. I'll wait till nearer the time to make a prediction.

Of course I'm hoping for a 2-1 to us in a hard fought but clean game with no major injuries.

 

With Krul, Taylor and Collocini back, realistically, we should have enough to win. They have home advantage though, and with 45k mackems baying for blood, we'll have our work cut out. A safe draw in my eyes.

 

As long as Ba stays fit I'm confident Newcastle will do alright. As a neutral I just want both clubs to have the best players available to them. I don't buy into the United v Liverpool game being biggest in England, it's just hyped up so much by Sky. All it is really is gloryhunters from Indonesia boasting about which club is the greatest.

With this game you have proper football fans from working class roots, same with Everton v Liverpool to a lesser extent. It's important showpiece derbies like this set the PL alight.

In terms of future attendance and mood of the club, this is the biggest, A Sunderland win kickstarts their season and same for Newcastle

If we win it will be a scrappy one goal affair at best. If your lot all hit form on the day you could win by three or four goals (ben arfa, cisse, ba) we just don't have that threat, in fact I only threat seems to be Fletcher. This is a big game for O'Neill imo, the fans are restless, the football is dull and negative 4-5-1 even when we are at home, lose this and is honeymoon period is definitely over. Furthermore, he has wasted millions on Adam 'what's my excuse this week' Johnson. Prediction either 1-0 Sunderland or 4-1 Newcastle.

To a certain extent I agree with you, but at the minute there's quite a bit more quality in your team and I think that will shine through mate. It's killing me talking like this
